Easy to travel to by car, just off main road. Easy access to market town of Guisborough, not far from Middlesbrough, country views.
Went to Pinchinthorpe for breakfast, approx one mile away. Great place just for breakfast or to set off for a hill or forest walk, small exhibition. Very child snd dog friendly. The CrossKeys isn't in the village of Nunthorpe but is a short car journey away.

Considering I was born within 2 miles of this Hotel I would give it some leeway.
The juicy details were that I was born on Friday October 12 1945. While my dad , a squadron leader in Bomber Command waited for the result with his fellow airman, rear gunner Jack White. They waited in the 3 Fiddlers Inn in Giusborough. My mother complained that the only injury during birth was a cigar burn on her thigh due to the consultant being called in from a dinner party.

We were attending an archery tournament near Great Ayton, consequently we did not spend time exploring Nunthorpe, but we found an excellent eating place at The Buck in Great Ayton. Food was good and, very unusual these days, the plates and food on them very hot.

Location for us as family live in Nunthorpe - but would probably stay here anyway as the surroundings are beautiful and never get tired of the view of Roseberry Topping. Also the food is excellent and a very extensive menu.
The Hotel looks nice upon arrival. The restaurant staff were very nice and helpful. Outside seating area was pleasant and relaxing. The carpark is a cracking size! No trouble parking at anytime.
It was a lovely hotel and restaurant which has a very nice outside area. The room was nice and comfortable which had a lovely bathroom. The breakfast was delicious.
