En general, ens va agradar molt l'hotel. Fins i tot, em van oferir alternatives per esmorzar vers les meves al·lèrgies i intoleràncies.

Gateway to the Inner Hebrides

Oban is a city built around a late 18th-century distillery that produces one of the finest single malt whiskeys in Scotland. This normally peaceful town is invaded during summer when tourists use it as a base to visit the Inner Hebrides islands such as Mull, Lismore and Coll, supporting its status as the Gateway to the Isles.

The horseshoe-shaped Oban Bay is sheltered by Kerrera Island with its spectacular Gylen Castle. Award-winning seafood restaurants and lively pubs line George Street and the waterfront of Corran Esplanade adjacent to the harbour.

Take a short walk up the hill to McCaig’s Tower, a structure based on the Roman Colosseum, for the finest views of Oban’s centre and the outer islands. When you get back down to sea level, stroll into and stumble out of the Oban whiskey distillery after sampling the local version of the 'water of life'.

Admire the coastal scenery as you travel a bit out of town to the 7th-century ruins of Dunollie Castle, home of the Clan MacDougall. The Firth of Lorn gives visitors a fanatstic opportunity to try some sea kayaking.

    Oban és una ciutat molt maca i la gent molt oberta i...

    Oban és una ciutat molt maca i la gent molt oberta i sismpatica. Llàstima que per agafar el ferry cap a la illa de Mull l'apacament està una mica lluny, la qual cosa va fer que perdessim el ferry que haviem reservat. Vam agafar el proper, però ens vam perdre el nostre trip a la illa de Staffa.

    L'apartament és molt confortable i no li falta cap detall, molt ben equipat i decorat amb molt de gust. A la cuina hi ha cafè, tè i sucre disponibles. La propietària, molt atenta, ha preparat un dossier amb informació molt útil per visitar Oban i voltants, la qual cosa és d'agrair. També hi ha guies sobre Escòcia. Flexibilitat horària àmplia pel check in, gràcies al sistema de bústia de claus. Ens hi hem sentit molt còmodes. Tornaríem sense dubtar-ho!

    La ubicació és bona perquè Oban és petit i es pot anar a peu a tot arreu. El propietari és molt amable i simpàtic. Les habitacions son molt espaioses, netes i còmodes i tot nou, el bay un pel petit i sense mirall però ens va dir que el tenia pendent de posar. Molt bé, millor del que ens esperavem.

    El llit és comode i l’habitaciò prou àmplia. Netedat correcte. La ubicació ens va semblar bona, distància correcta a peu del centre d’Oban.
