Morris Gardens Apartments is set in Oldmeldrum, 28 km from Beach Ballroom, 23 km from Newburgh on Ythan Golf Club, and 26 km from Hilton Community Centre.

Incredibly friendly staff. Apartment was great. A lovely additional touch - they had bread, milk, butter, jam and cereal for us to use, as well as the more typical teas and coffees. We thought this was lovely and really added to the stay. Would absolutely return.

Disblair House features garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Newmachar, 19 km from Beach Ballroom.

We liked everything about the house, very old listed B property with a wealth of history. We were in the family room, which had everything you could possibly need during your stay. Our room had a fridge and microwave, trouser press along with iron and ironing board. The bed had an electric blanket and we even had a settee. Karolyn supplied fresh milk and bottled water every day with an array of different teas and decaf options. The bathroom was large with bath and walk in shower etc. The food choice was exceptional, there was a continental breakfast which was vast and followed by a full cooked breakfast which was chosen from a list along with toast, croissants butter and jams. Karolyn and Chris were lovely hosts along with their two friendly dogs.

The Hideaway Inverurie, a property with a garden, is located in Inverurie, 23 km from Hilton Community Centre, 26 km from Aberdeen Art Gallery & Museum, as well as 27 km from Aberdeen Harbour.

This property was in an ideal location. The facilities were as described and fully satisfied our needs. Comfortable beds and clean facilities with very pleasant and helpful hosts who accommodated our additional request, which was very much appreciated. Would use The Hideaway on a future occasion and recommend it to others.

    Beautiful surroundings

Beautiful surroundings We visited Fraser castle and it was incredible - volunteers in every room and they were so knowledgeable. I would have liked to have stayed longer. The cafe was good too with great scones! Old Meldrum sits on the “castle trail” and I’d like to go back to see the rest of the castles.

First class service from all of the staff. Our room was perfect and spacious. Our evening meal was fantastic as was the breakfast. A total relaxed break for both of us. Looking forward to visiting again soon. Thoroughly recommend a stay at Old Meldrum House.

    Faultless.

Faultless. Beautiful decor, practical layout, great food, helpful staff, the team here work hard and are getting it right. If you’re worried about spending a little more than you intended don’t be, this place is worth it. My tip would be get the Sirloin in the Cave bar. First class , well worth it

We had a lovely family get together. We were made really welcome. The food pack that with us. Was a nice welcome surprise. The apartment was just right for us lovely view over the village. The restaurant being right next to the apartment was very good but no noise at all. Truly lovely. Leak family.

Tricky to find in the dark until you happen upon the arch - ie no signs to it in the village or on the road from New Machar. We were staying with my son in Newmachar, so we didn't go anywhere else. We'll be back in the summer, so ask me all of this again & I'll tell you, but I suspect that if you weren't into golf, the hotel would seem a bit biased towards golf. So a tennis or bowling green, something to do if its raining e.g. a dart board & a pool table - otherwise its all a bit too hushed tones & posh, but there's not enough buzz when you go into the bar? Oh, and the wifi in the stables need a repeater to make it fast enough to stream. If the TV in the room had had iPlayer ie was a smart TV, we could have watched Tina Turner on it rather than on my phone with buffering!...but these a trivial details. If this hotel was in Edinburgh or Glasgow it would kick every other hotel's butt!

The hotels position in the golf course was fantastic, view from our room were great! Unfortunately covid spoilt the ambiance of what was a pleasurable short break. The evening meal of beef was excellent not as sure of the other food, it was a hit or miss according to your taste. The Australian barossa red wine was very good but that's my taste! An all round good hotel for a short break.

We stayed in Oldmeldrum as over for a wedding and this was the closest accommodation. The village is lovely and everyone was so friendly. Our apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed plus Laura had left us milk, butter, jam, tea, coffee, cereal and a loaf of bread which we really appreciated. The pub is virtually next door, friendly landlord (Laura's Husband) and staff. The food was very good too. If we're ever over that way in the future, we would definitely stay there again as couldn't fault it.

Everything was very high quality. The summer house, although a bit unusual, was great. Oldmeldrum is a lovely village with great shops. The WiFi worked really well. The kids loved the attic room with the fairy lights. The shower was fantastic. The kitchen was well-equipped.
