Very tidy, clean and comfortable - the decorative lights across the pond were a nice added touch the first night, so we missed them in their absence the second night. The kitchen was very well kitted out tho we would have appreciated on larger pan, otherwise all very good.

Absolutely amazing hotel! It's so beautiful and old inside but everything just seems so well maintained. Lots of attention to detail in decorations and general aesthetics. The rooms were also so quiet and we appreciated that we got a bath and not a shower, especially since it was winter. The view from our room window was also so pretty! Restaurant food was so good! And the waiters were great! Very professional. I'm definitely coming back here.

Good value for money
Very old rooms which were not maintained for a long while.
This hideaway is located in the center of Rye and offers well-designed rooms, local wines and a restaurant menu infused with Mediterranean zest.

Our stay was wonderful. The George is beautiful, but what really made our stay extra special were the staff… Dave from Seville ;-) in the dining room and the guy from Tazmania made us feel super welcome. Service was impeccable and food was just lovely.

We asked for an accessible room as my husband is in a wheelchair, and it was very good. Breakfast was good. The location is close to the town centre, and there was plenty of parking at the hotel.
The sand between your toes. Sky and beach as far as your eyes can see. Wonderful food made with love. Deeply comfortable beds in beautifully thought out bedrooms. Daily yoga and wellness classes.

Great location close to the A21, ideal for trips to the coast, especially Rye, Camber & Hastings. Also within half an hour of Battle Abbey. Several pubs in the village to choose from and a large supermarket to stock up on supplies.

It's near Rye and other places to visit. We walked from Rye to Camber. Beautiful. A lovely walk to Peasmarsh Church. We will definately be staying at The Great Escape again. A Jempsons superstore near too if just fancy sandwiches or snacks. Food great at The Oak which is joined to where we stayed

Peasmarsh itself is a quite charming place.
Peasmarsh itself is a quite charming place. It has a local market and petrol station/car wash. Pub and accomodation for visitors. We used Peasmarsh as a base for visiting places such as Rye which is a very charming town which reminded me of the good old days Camber Sands which has one of the best beaches you will find anywhere in the country. It is situated in a lovely part of the country. We stayed at the Great Escape which is a row of chalets with bedroom and shower room. A nice veranda with a small table and two chairs outside and in. In the grounds of a pub called The Oak. This is a smashing pub for really good food and drink at reasonable prices. The staff were always very welcoming ensuring we enjoyed our time there
