With a magnificent location, surrounded by the stunning natural beauty and dramatic scenery of the Snowdonia National Park, the Tynycornel Hotel looks out over its own 222-acre fishing lake.

Simple accommodation in an old-fashioned (in a good way) setting, in the centre of the town. Very friendly, helpful staff. Very good food, especially dinner.
Situated in Snowdonia National Park, Penhelig Arms has a waterside location at the mouth of the Dyfi estuary. It offers fresh seafood and a range of other dishes, and has a real log fire in winter.

Room was excellent value, typical of an 'OLD' hotel with steep stairs, clearly spent some money since we last stayed, Staff could not be faulted all excellent. Breakfast was disapointing although still fairly good value. Overall well recomended.
Featuring garden views, Gwel y Bryn features accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 40 km from Aberystwyth Golf Club.

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely cottage! The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home from the start. The location was perfect—peaceful and surrounded by breathtaking scenery, with plenty of great walks right on the doorstep. One of the highlights was spotting a few planes flying through the Mach Loop, which was an amazing experience. The cottage itself was cosy, well-equipped, and beautifully maintained, providing the perfect base for our trip. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended for a relaxing and scenic break.
Set in Tywyn in the Gwynedd region, Chalet 8 The Woodlands features a patio and river views. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the apartment free of charge.

Just right accommodation for us. Peaceful location with an outstanding view. Very well equipped
Boasting garden views, Chalet 7 Erw Porthor is located in Tywyn, around 7.4 km from Castell y Bere. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the apartment free of charge.
The late check in is really unhelpful. It’s dark and particularly for families with small children. Access to the main building with push chairs is difficult and I don’t believe it’s wheelchair accessible
The accommodation has amazing views and some of the apartments in the grounds are really nice. The apartments in the mansion need some updating particularly the kitchen area
It’s great that dogs are welcome.
It would be nice if reception area had a coffee bar

The village pub is now a Community enterprise and seems to be bringing benefit not only to the locality and its residents but also providing visitors with hospitality and choice in this beautiful area.

Pennal is quite central to most areas with the Aberdovery/Tywyn area. We went to Paddleboard and found a nice little reservoir just behind Tywyn RAF old buildings it was nice and quiet just a few dog walks and a few paddle boarders good for beginners

The property itself is a little way from village center where there is a 'Community Pub' and also a holiday park/resort where facilities can be used by the public during certain times (sign on road gives details) There isn't a visible footpath I'm sure off the road it is quieter, although I didn't stop to explore further.

Excellent all round. Lovely room, nicely furnished with a very comfy bed. Bathroom as good as any 4 star hotel.
Breakfast superb and host just the nicest people you could hope to see running a place like this.
5 Star all round, and completely faultless.

They are short staffed so don’t blame the staff for problems ( like restricted hours of check in and pool/spa.)
They do need a lot of investment in the whole site.
It’s a fantastic location, walking distance of a good pub that does food. Machynlleth an interesting town with local shops, market on a Wednesday.
Great train ride from Aberdyfi up to Barmouth and Harlech.
Comfortable beds and a good shower.
