12 of us in total spent the weekend at the Airds hotel for our wedding. Our stay was perfect. The location is beautiful, with rooms having a lovely view of the water and mountains. Rooms and the cottage were spacious and perfect for our families. The staff could not have been more helpful and attentive. Food at dinner and breakfast was excellent.

Lovely spa facilities, so relaxing and very well maintained spa. I had a massage which was fantastic. The therapist was lovely and friendly. The gentleman at the spa reception also explained everything so well and made sure we had everything we needed. We had booked a cottage with a hot tub too which was excellent. The food in the restaurant was absolutely phenomenal and cooked to perfection. We were also offered some complimentary champagne on arrival as it was a special occasion which was much appreciated. It was a nice touch. The staff were so attentive.
Offering inner courtyard views, Ballimackillichan Croft in Isle of Lismore features accommodations and a garden. With sea views, this accommodation offers a patio.

The host were very welcoming, the location was lovely, and their home was charming. Considering the price was only slightly more then the hostel and it included breakfast and all the other bonuses a stay there is a great deal

Loved the decorations, the wood stove, and the comfortable beds! The communications were great. We appreciated the thoughtful treats upon arrival! Hospitality was excellent. The kitchen was a bit narrow but perfectly functional. Some cookware needed a thorough cleaning. I mentioned it to the host, who accepted responsibilities and was very graceful. The building is traditional and beautiful. We only stayed one night in December. Would go back and would recommend it to anyone.

The view, cabin, and property was lovely. Everything was well thought out and cozy. We all enjoyed the giant chessboard, playground, and historic train area. Watching the storms come and go over the loch was delightful.

This place is beautiful and homey. The views are incredible and very relaxing. The owner is on hand to answer questions and make suggestions. I am just sad we only booked one night.

There is another hotel at the pier where you can stay, dine or just enjoy and scone and coffee. There is a little ferry for passengers and bikes to go across to the lovely island of Lismore. There you can cycle with either your own bike or hire one on the quay at the other side. Then you can cycle or walk to the Heritage Centre and Museum and cafe. The views are fantastic all around - when the clouds are not down! We were very lucky with a sunny day.

With one wee shop, a restaurant with rooms and a setting to die for, Port Appin is an unspoiled, beautiful location to visit all year round.
Dinner and breakfast at the Pierhouse hotel was a bonus.

Port Appin is a jewel in the most beautiful place in the world, Scotland's west coast. Lismore, the island in Loch Linnhe, is like a little bit of heaven. We ate twice in the Pierhouse Hotel. It was very good indeed. Walking, cycling, swimming, hill walking, sailing, there are so many things to do. It is 2.5 hours drive from east Central Scotland.

Front of house staff were well organised, very helpful, polite and eager to assist in any way. Their local knowledge was extremely helpful plus chef had them well versed on the menu and local produce.
Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean.
The only downside was the double bed. Maybe it was turned the wrong way round as my head was lower than my feet. Another pillow would have been handy - don’t let that put you off as this is a fantastic hotel with first class food and service.
A big plus nowadays are the two BEV charging points - delighted to leave with full stomachs and a fully recharged battery.

Perched towards the end of Loch Linnhe opposite the island of Lismore and the peaks of Ardgour and Morvern, Port Appin is small but perfectly formed. A scattering of houses along the lochside, it is well served by two hotels and a community-run shop, as well as many other facilities, particularly in the summer season (crafts; bike hire, local produce). The Pierhouse specialises in seafood and is excellent (the Airds hotel was closed but it was January). Ideal for a relaxing holiday, pottering around on beaches, up small hills, wandering in the woods, taking photographs, watching birds, it really is idyllic. So please don't go there : )

The dining experience is excellent.
The dining experience is excellent. Would have liked to be able to choose our breakfast time and not been given one. As it is called a hotel would have liked to have been able to order a snack on arrival early afternoon but the kitchen was closed so more of a Guest House.
