Portpatrick is full of character, very picturesque and has beautiful walks and clifftop views leading to small bays. There are good hotels and pubs with plenty of atmosphere. The putting green is great fun and always a favourite.

Idyllic coastal town with most of the hotels, guest houses and self catering accommodation overlooking the harbour/coast. Plenty of nice walks, both easy and difficult depending on your fitness level; the harbour area hosting most of the accommodation is flat, however surrounding area is very hilly and steep. The small beach is usable in the warmer weather. Hotels on front all have large outdoor seating areas for food and drink and I believe most are pet friendly; bowls of water are scattered along the harbour front for your pouch to get a drink. Some local gift shops. Have eaten in a couple of the hotels and food has been good although drinks can be expensive.

We loved everything at this hotel, food, accommodation setting.
The views are outstanding and location,we stayed for a weekend break the weather was bitterly cold with the waves lashing against the rock face,Fabulous.
The staff go the extra mile at this hotel for customer service, but what I noticed more was the staff are ALL happy. We left a tip at reception and another couple in front of us had bought presents for the staff😊The Hotel sits proud on the top of a small hill, you can access the hotel down to the village via steps, or you can drive down if you are self drive holiday. So just to bare in mind if you have mobility problems.
But saying that I'm due a knee replacement and would be quite happy staying around the hotel &, surrounding grounds/walks.

I loved the view from our bedroom.
I loved the view from our bedroom. We planned to tour around on the last day. But the sun shone brightest on that day so it would have been hard to find anywhere better. So we stood on a hill overlooking Portpatrick. One of my army comrade told me his friend played the lament for President JF Kennedy. I told this ro a resident, he said "Aye but he didn't play in Portpatrick ' Checkmate.

Loved it here all the pubs and hotel I went to everyone was very friendly, the local shops had a good variety of items. One shop called the Curiosity shop is a little gem I could spend all day there and still not see everything. Being a solo traveller I did feel like safe here,, lots of walking areas, so nice not using my car the whole time.

I've been staying in portpatrick for 10,+ this was the worst I thought I would stay in the hotel o booked I got put in a cottage up the road which was although quaint was not good the room was 2singles put together was so uncomfortable the ensuite was in the wardrobe you actually couldn't move init the only positive was the breakfast was good
Our second stay at this hotel - this time we were allocated a garden apartment next door which was a nice bonus! Enjoyable evening meal and an excellent breakfast makes the Harbour House our first choice for a night's stay before catching the ferry at Cairnryan, which is only a 25- minute drive from Portpatrick.
the hotel has got to be the best in portpatrick! location was on a bit of a hill which was perfect for views over the bay’ it’s exceptionally clean and has class!
