Great location for exploring Skye. We received an unexpected upgrade because the hotel was not busy (low season) and our room was very comfortable and large.

In 15 acres of private grounds, this hotel features spectacular views over Portree Bay to the Cuillin Mountain range. It has an award-winning restaurant and a range of whiskeys on offer.

We mistakenly booked 2 rooms ( there were only us as a couple) and when we realized our mistake 3 weeks ago we had asked booking.com to fix it, which they said they would. When we arrived at the hotel we were told that booking.com had not fixed it and we still had 2 rooms. We contacted the site client services and also asked the hotel to please cancel the one room and refund it - they said they would coordinate with the website and fix it. We heard from booking .com telling us that we should contact the hotel directly and they would make an exception and fix it - and despite asking in person numerous times and explaining the circumstances- they refused to. Leaving us paying for one whole room for nothing . We even asked for a credit for the next time we could visit and also were rebuffed: what terrible customer service and care.
