What a fabulous place! We had one of the best dinners in a long time! Great artistry in the cooking. Exceptionally tasty food and a very long and interesting selection of wines to choose from. The restaurant was beautifully filled by a local florist with branches of blossom and an amazing display of Spring flowers in the big window.
Very friendly staff everywhere – made to feel welcome.
The next morning we had a delicious breakfast which we – unfortunately – couldn’t linger over as we had to rush off. They took our order and rustled us up porridge and perfect scrambled eggs in no time.
A strong recommend.

Lovely little town. Fabulous centre for walking, the Howgills on the doorstep and other fells close by. Not far to Hawes which is another lovely dales town. Good choice of eateries. The Dalesman restaurant was excellent. Real ale pub too, the Thirsty Rambler what more can you want

Great for walking, plenty of choice straight from Sedburgh. There are a number of places to choose to eat from, we ate at Smatts Duo Cafe which we thoroughly enjoyed, this cafe welcomes dogs a must for us and had a coffee at the Dog Gun coffee shop another dog friendly spot. We had an evening meal at the Red Lion, again very dog friendly and tasty food.

A pleasant town located on edge of Yorkshire dales and 20 miles from the lakes. Good location for walkers , beautiful villages ( Dent etc ) and river walks are nearby, also a superb craft mill & arts centre with weaving , quilting , wood turning and cafe.
Local shops in the town, very good chippy , butchers , grocers , the major supermarkets are in Kendal ( 20 mins car ). Excellent 2 bed property , massive comfy beds and vey good self catering facilities. The local produce was so good we ate in , but there are 3 pub/inns serving a range of meals within 10 minutes walk.
Very quiet especially at night though look out for low flying military planes in the afternoon ! Well suited to older couples , hikers and walkers but also for a family. We loved the place and want to go back again soon.

Gorgeous area, plenty of exploring to neighbouring towns and villages.
Tons of walks, short or long, beautiful village, but closes by 4pm. Gorgeous pubs but get booked in advance chippy with a cafe, owners away when we visited so it was closed, but we've been before and the food is great.
Good restaurants just outside the area, ie Barbon Restaurant and bar food. Another gorgeous little area around and about

A wonderful little village very close to amenities in Sedbergh. Everything neccessary for self catering in the cottage. Even including logs , firelighters for a wood burning stove.
Parking limited in the village so a dedicated spot for the cottage a bonus
Decorated and fitted to high standard . Very comfortable beds and good bathroom facilities.
Self catering. Close to town centre and nearby restaurants. Beautiful area with wonderful walks and river swimming. Central for The Lake district and the Yorkshire Dales, Interesting cottage with upstairs living area and bedrooms down stairs
We loved staying here. Perfect location for walk and lots of pubs and shops nearby. It is really cosy and modern place to stay and it’s great that dogs can come at no extra charge! It was spotless and we loved the interior decoration!
