Sedgefield is a foodies place, pubs and restaurants all within a few yards of each other. It was good to have a different place to eat each evening. It is also very pretty with the little church and the bells

Lovely town, good range of restaurants and lots of things of historic interest in the locality to explore. A short drive from town centre and you are into some lovely countryside. . Sedgefield racecourse was really good day out, very friendly and free parking.

Great location and lovely grounds.
Great location and lovely grounds. Tired and dated hotel room, dirty and not what I expect especially when I’ve paid over £200 for the night. The reception team were rarely visible. Couldn’t get food on arrival as they serve afternoon tea to outside guests and the tables were reserved or taken. I had a ground floor room with a lake view and the wedding marquee was situated there, the music was loud as where the guests and they all seemed to have a lovely time and I’m glad however, the wedding went on until the early hours and the noise made it impossible for me to sleep.

Reception, Restaurant, Bar, Location & grounds of the Hardwick Hall Hotel are second to none, Outstanding. The food in the Restaurant was also exceptional.
The room I stayed in was a little tired. The shower leaked onto the floor, not all the lights worked in the bathroom. The room was generally very warm, even with the window open fully & the fan on..

Sedgefield is a lovely little village with a busy High street, there's a choice if cafes and pubs all serving good choices of food and drinks. Also there's a few interesting little shops, Bettys Boudoir and Peridot. There's a beauty rooms a craft beer shop. Amongst other things.
There's some good walking too.

Stopped for a couple of nights as part of a day spent at Sedgefield races (20 mins walk) and a morning spent walking round Hardwick Hall (short drive), then onto the Auckland Project which was less than 30 mins drive away. Plenty of parking either onsite or surrounding roads. Staff were excellent, well kept beer (Taylor's) and exceptional food (braised steak) at breakfast and dinner. Rooms are small but absolutely fine.
A nice walk across the park from the Hardwick Hall Hotel where I had a conference. It was bang in the middle of the amazing little town of Sedgefield and had the pub downstairs has sport on TV and friendly bar staff.
