Set in a converted cluster of fisherman’s houses along Portree Harbour the hotel offers plenty of character and quirks. There are 17 en-suite bedrooms with all expected facilities.

A good location but very limited parking. We had to park nearby as no spaces available either night of our stay. We had booked a table to eat on the first night of our 2 day stay. On arrival, and a very stormy night, we were informed the restaurant and bar were closed and they had forgotten to let us know. We ended up soaking wet to find another eatery with availability. Not the best start.
If you are looking for luxury accommodation with great Highland Hospitality in Skye, then look no further than historic Skeabost House Hotel, a family owned boutique hotel, part of the Sonas Hotel...

The exterior of the property belies the really excellent rooms provided in this lovely location. Adequate parking space but access to the property definitely requires work - and sturdy footwear - as it does also make getting luggage in/out more challenging than it needs to be. An outside seating area would also be a great addition - the weather during our stay was great so it would have been nice to sit in the garden.
The Skeabost Inn was our favorite for food. As with all of Skye, be sure to book ahead for meals. For our first night, we could not book a meal anywhere, even takeaway. We had to eat what little food we had brought with us. There are not enough restaurants to accommodate all the tourists.

GORGEOUS and spacious! Perfectly stocked kitchen.
GORGEOUS and spacious! Perfectly stocked kitchen. Close to Portree, the Trotternish Loop, Dunvegan Castle, etc., but still secluded and relaxing. Movies and board games there for families to enjoy. Can hear the sheep in the distance. Just perfect!

Lovely bungalow, built by the host.
Lovely bungalow, built by the host. Rural location with lovely views down to the loch. Local wildlife, isolation. The room was very clean and tidy, breakfast was very nice - cereal, fruit, yoghurt and toast. Great hosts, Hamish and Josephine made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The town of Portree was 15 mins away by car. Nice eateries in the area and the Isle of Skye is stunning. Would thoroughly recommend this property.

It is a great location for accessing a lot of Skye.
It is a great location for accessing a lot of Skye. There is not a great deal nearby, but Portree is only 10 minutes by car. Skeabost Hotel and a lovely gallery is close by, but we went into Portree for meals. From the gallery we spotted 2 sea eagles flying over the cottage. This is a place for people who want to be in the countryside.

A truly great place to stay with warm and welcoming hosts and a beutiful surrounding area. Peace and quiet, farm animals, great nature, great wildlife and a short way from every single attraction on the Isle of Skye.
The place has everything you need to prepare great meals, take a great shower with nice waterpressure and lots of space, sit on the deck and enjoy the nature.

Skeabost/Portree is an excellent location.
Skeabost/Portree is an excellent location. Easy to navigate around Skye in a car. Amazing landscape and wildlife. Would recommend the freshly cooked scallops at the Oyster Shed. Dined at The Three Chimneys - a fantastic experience in fine dining.
