Close to the city centre and only a 10-minute walk from the railway station, Holiday Inn Stevenage has a mini-gym and boasts a modern and stylish Destinations Bar and Restaurant.

The service was excellent and we found the room comfortable. The dinner too was excellent. An improvement to make would be to heat the dining room for the evening meal, as that room was rather cold.

With a charming 15th-century pub and modern rooms with private bathrooms, The Roebuck Inn is less than 5 minutes’ drive from the A1(M) motorway.

Needs updating inside… very tired including the bathrooms. For the price, I was surprised at home basic and dated the property was.

Between Hitchin and Stevenage, The Farmhouse at Redcoats offers home-cooked food and cosy bedrooms.

The room was tidy and clean, and the facilities worked correctly. It was really cosy and warm at night and very comfortable to sleep in. I wish I could spend more time staying in this hotel. The dinner was splendid, and the breakfast the next morning was nourishing and delicious. The service overall exceeded expectations.

Situated in Stevenage and within 5.2 km of Knebworth House, The Poacher has a bar, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property.

Gerry manger was very pleasant while staying at poachers pub. Very nice updated pub for being a local pub. All the local people were drinking, having fun and laughing. Will definitely stay again here. Fully recommend Thanks Lee

Staff at reception , Ruchitha plus F & B Staff, Laura were really helpful when I was really anxious about the food and water situation after 12 o’clock midnight, as I say food and water are a necessity not a luxury, small things that are easily rectified, Thank Adam M Hartfree, Director LTD Live the dream Ltd

The size of the rooms are too small.

The size of the rooms are too small. I requested for two single bed rooms of which only one room was made available. The corridor is dirty and smelling. There was complementary bottle water which was being said that we had to purchase. Never again would I book Ibis as it does not suit for purposes and far beyond expectations.

Driving from Scotland to visit my sister in hospital so no other comments had a take-away from the Golden Siam restaurant very expensive and not true Thai cooking having lived in Thailand for 12 years I am more than qualified to judge. If we have to visit again I hope that it will not be at the hospital.

We were in Stevenage specifically to visit with our daughter, husband and new grand-daughter. We loved that we could easily get around town with Uber. There was a small market area within walking distance of where we stayed with a little pub for breakfast and a Tesco Express. I have been to Knebworth House which you really should not miss. It is a lovely, stately old historical home in the area and was very nice to visit particularly if you are a history buff.

Nice hotel, relatively quiet considering location. Comfy bedding and lots of car parking spaces. Close to the shops and the train station. Much cheaper than we would have paid central London and definitely nicer.
