I had the kings head booked for 8 months for a gig in chepstow, but they cancelled it the day before they said there was a leak in the room,so I'm not happy at all.

Tintern is a small cozy place with natural beauty, charm, and history. People were very helpful and friendly. It was a perfect short stay to begin our travels in Wales. To make the experience memorable my husband and I brought a copy of the poem "Lines Written a Few Miles above Tintern Abbey" by William Wordsworth to read and contemplate while gazing at the site.

The second hand book shop, Stella and Rose's was great to browse round, 10 rooms with collectors books, a huge array of children's books.
Cafes good but a few being refurbished. Tintern Abbey itself a place of interest.

Lovely place to stay, price to enter Abbey should have been halved as more than half was clearly marked on map as not accessible due to scaffolding. People more likely to contribute. Couldn’t understand it. Recommend booking to eat at the Parva Farmhouse

In Tintern having intentionally put a visit to Tintern Abbey on our driving holiday list, and glad we did! The Abbey is much more complex, textured, and larger than you can ever sense from photos. There's a nice little gift shop where you check in, and then you can walk amongst the ruins to see the site from within with all the marvelous angles and perspectives.

I wanted to explore the area for a couple of days and this location was perfect. The flat was clean, very well presented, welcome basket on arrival. Good wifi, lovely views, parking right opposite. 2 pubs in walking distance (a 3rd is being refurbished). Had dinner in the Rose & Crown, very nice, they don't open all day but the steaks were delicious. Also visited the Anchor Inn, by the Abbey, they are open all day and had a full menu. The apartment was spotless, it isn't the biggest property so whilst it has 2 bedrooms plus a sofa bed in the living room, it would be on the small side for a family if they were spending time indoors.

Plenty to do, walking in the hills, along the river Wye,, a Wire Mill walk, Tintern Abbey, Tintern Old Railway Station, and the old Water Mill. There is also a pub, ice cream shop, cafe and a local brewery to visit.

The beautifully renovated twin (double+single) room was exactly what we needed at the end of a long day's walking the Offa's Dyke Path, which passes about a mile from the hotel. The dinner was excellent too, and the service was fantastic - despite it being a busy Saturday evening, the staff were always attentive and really friendly. Breakfast was absolutely outstanding as well.
Shepherds Delight is an amazing, well designed shepherds hut in beautiful surroundings with everything needed to make your stay perfect. The location is great for breathtaking walks and not too far to walk for Tintern Abbey. A gorgeous log burner is perfect for those chilly evenings with plenty of wood, or there's an outdoor firepit for those long summer evenings.
Spring Cottage is an excellent accommodation with brilliant views and a high degree of comfort. it sits high on the valley side with great walks in all directions. very convenient for Tintern, Chepstow and Monmouth. with or without a car you can explore the area which has much to offer. I fully recommend this accommodation.
Great location (Tintern Abbey, interesting places around to walk to too), nice view from our room (River Wye), Marta was really nice and her husband (we never saw him in person) is an excellent chef, wholly recommend the food (breakfast & dinner).
