The 4-star Mercure Birmingham West Hotel is perfectly located; just 5 miles from Birmingham City Centre being the perfect base to explore Birmingham and its surrounding areas.

Nothing what you expect of a 4star hotel. Facilities are outdated, bathroom outdated and besides shower gel and shampoo no extras. no proper storage space for clothing. breakfast items of the lowest quality (cheese bread, mushrooms, bacon, fruit) and very limited choice, pastries were already finished at 9 on a Saturday and no refill (only mini variety) and bad coffee. Paid parking, and the state of the parking entrance is bad as well. The gym was very basic and the swimming pool we didn't try just on how it looked.

Just off the M5 motorway and only 2.4 km from Langley Green Railway Station, the modern Holiday Inn Express Birmingham Oldbury offers free parking and air-conditioned rooms.

Very cramped room, second bed blocked the chair at the desk, it was impossible to pull it out. Poor lighting, stained carpet, a centimeter of dirt (dust) on the inside of the couch, close to the head part

The looking system doesn't look very safe, since anyone that has the code can enter the room. Would feel safe if it had some "old school" locker on the inside.

Tipton was nice it was just our accommodation that was awful cosy serene flat ...... The family below we're shouting in a language we didn't understand ... Dog continually barking couldn't get any sleep there and had to drive home on less than 1 hours sleep a d then at 3:15/ 3:30 someone was banging on their door to be let in them more shouting window didn't close properly so heard the traffic from main road all night also smoke alarm continually bleeping ...... No wifi ( even though it says wifi) but it's smart TVs so you have to use your own mobile data from your phone if you want to watch the tv and there was all dried on toothpaste over the taps in the bathroom
