This charming, 19th-century converted farmhouse is just a mile from junction 31 of the M1. It features real log fires, traditional British meals, and bright, elegant rooms.

Great property but let down with the amount of noise from neighbouring rooms. Loud TV and banging.
Breakfast was very good and friendly happy staff.
Next to Sheffield Business Park, the Mercure Sheffield Parkway is just 4 miles from Sheffield city centre.

Facilities were nice in general, but a couple things did nit work in the room. Some of the lights weren’t working, the AC was not working, the shampoo and conditioner did not smell good. The iron almost ruined my clothes. The staff on the last day was rude when I checked out late, I happily agreed to pay late checkout but she was very rude one the phone and at reception. Aside from that the bed was comfy.

Todwick was an easy stop off the M1 as we were travelling north.
Staff were very pleasant and the facilities were extremely comfortable after a long journey. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to discover more of the area.

I visited Todwick and Sheffield to meet up with old friends from many years ago. They lived in the Todwick area and recommended the pub I stayed in. I didn't therefore visit the area to sight-see.

Red Lion was clean and tidy, staff were helpful and considerate and happy to help . Parking could be busy , bramble bush beside bin in carpark needs trimming. Otherwise a very pleasant and enjoyable stay.

There is nothing in Todwick.
There is nothing in Todwick. You should clearly inform people that the Red Lion is in need of a complete restoration. The hotels response from the reviews, is that the hotel is being refurbished. The hotel is in a very run down condition and has been for a long time, over two years from the reviews. This should be clearly stated on your website !!

We walked into the village with the dog in the evening and the footpaths were wide and safe. There is a garden centre within walking distance from the hotel. We found a pleasant river /streamside walk on day 2. Nice countryside and hotel is not troubled by noise of the roads. Well in room 11 we weren't.
On the second night we ate in the Pub and staff were very accommodating and attentive to food needs. They even gave me some cooked sausages for my dog... Lovely staff even when overstretched and working full on...

We like everything about the Red Lion ,extremely friendly and professional and polite staff..Very Clean rooms with very comfy beds....We have stayed here many times and enjoy our visit everytime...However on this occasion we didn't stay over or have Breakfast, this was of no fault of the hotel, but I lost my purse during the afternoon losing alot of cash and cards....we felt fed up so returned home ....But anyone wishing to stay here please do we can recommend totally...
They were very accommodating -- I had a concert in Sheffield that night, so was able to pick up the room key quite early, making returning to the hotel after the concert much easier. The room was great -- nice size, _very_ comfortable bed, nice shower, good towels, very pleasant staff. Location for the M! terrific, and also easy access into Sheffield. Surprisingly quiet inside given it's location.
