Separate accommodation from the the pub proper. Room was very nice. No cooked breakfast available - but there was good choice of cereal, instant porridge, yogurt, fruit and juice provided in the room. The fridge with fresh milk available was a great plus. Nice en-suite. Very clean. Bed super comfortable. Staff very friendly. Reserved parking for the rooms another great plus.

10/10 for the price we paid. It was good value for money - very clean, beds were really comfortable, spacious, all the facilities worked. My only issue was the check in was not clearly signposted and didn't expect it to be in the restaurant so walking into a nice Steak restaurant in trackies, trainers, hair in a bun wasn't ideal! 😂 Staff were really friendly and helpful

The main problem was with booking.com.
I searched for hotels with half board.
With the filter on. It brought up this hotel. In bright green it stated free breakfast and £28 allowance for food for each person.
So I booked at a very high rate only to be told on arrival dinner was not included. I was hold to booking.com for 45 mins who did not help. Which by this time my autistic son was having a melt down.
The booking process was misleading and fraudulent. It ruined our stay.
I won’t use this site again.

The purpose of the trip was an overnight stop for a racing weekend at Brands Hatch. I'm pleased I chose a non chain hotel, the personal touch was appreciated. Impressive church and grounds, would be interested to visit the NIAB and nearby villages.
As the 'only pub in the village' (I might be wrong there) it appears to be a central hub, there was a good atmosphere with good food too. Few shops although supermarkets/takeaways within a short drive
