My daughter loved this treat I arranged for her and her husband, she sent me a video of the place and it is beautiful. She would definitely go back and stay again . We did note that there was no minibar in the room although it says there is but it did not spoil the stay at all .

A good location if your using the airport, it's about 20 mins away. This place could be amazing but it's looking really quite tired, needs a bit of a face lift or just some little touches would lift it, for example in the morning have the radio on and perhaps some flowers on the tables, clean the windows and remove dead plant pots. Zero atmosphere in the main part of the hotel. The rooms I would say are as good as the large chain cheap hotels however, had everything you need, comfy bed, good shower etc. Food was okay.....but we just wanted to be fed we weren't after high end a la cate anyway. Breakfast was good but little choice it's full English or a bap, would have been good to have omelette, poached egg, muffin, pancakes etc but again it was fine. I would stay again for 1 night if I'm using the airport not somewhere for a weekend or holiday.

The Woodborough was one of the friendliest, comfortable and efficient pub/hotels I have stayed in this year. It really is dog friendly, serves good food and has a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Boasting a hot tub, The Nookery is set in Winscombe. This property offers access to a patio and free private parking.

Needs a bit of updating. Dishwasher wasn’t cleaning as good as it should. Could have also done with some new cooking pans/equipment.

We liked everything about the hotel, it was comfortable, clean and quiet despite the nearby road. The staff were friendly and helpful. A continental breakfast was included in the price which was perfect for our needs. We would definitely stay again

We were originally shooting for Bristol, but pricing made us look a little further around. Winscombe is a small village, so there's not a lot to do right there. We day-tripped to Wales, Bath for the Roman Baths, and Stonehenge. It was perfect for the kind of trip we like to do.

A nice 17 Century inn close to the Cheddar Goge surrounded by good walking opportunities in the woods managed by the Forestry Commission
The best rooms are located at the back of the car park in a converted farm building.

WINSCOMBE IS A FAIRLY SMALL VILLAGE BUT HAS SEVERAL PLACES TO EAT OR GET TAKE AWAYS. THERE'S A DECENT SIZED CO-OP TO GET SUPPLIES. WE CHOSE THE PROPERTY AS WE WERE GOING TO VISIT THATCHERS CIDER FARM 2 MILES AWAY. THATCHERS GAVE A LOVELY GUIDED TOUR, I RECOMMEND IT. LOTS TO SEE AND DO IN THE SURROUNDING AREA. WE VISITED TYNTESFIELD HOUSE A NATIONAL TRUST PROPERTY NEARBY AND CANNINGTON WALLED GARDEN WHICH WAS BEAUTIFUL. LOVELY WALKS AT YOUR DOORSTEP AND PLENTY MORE THINGS TO DO. WE ATE 2 NIGHTS AT THE WOODBOROUGH INN AND ONCE AT THE WINDMILL AT THATCHERS CIDER FARM AND ENJOYED THEN ALL.

Lovely location overlooking the countryside and handy for Bristol Airport. Lovely old building with character, modern hotel facilities (as it was a Premier Inn) and on site parking. Very friendly and helpful staff and the food was great too. We would definitely stay again and recommend.
A lovely pub hotel - in the middle of the countryside which made for a nice location but very easy to find. From the nice welcome to the cheery goodbye the staff were excellent from ‘too to bottom’, nothing too much trouble. Room very nice, as was breakfast
The location was very good, central to Winscombe village where my daughter lives. Compact, but everything you need for a short stay. Warm welcome by host.comfortable bed. Excellent views.
Very good correspondence with host, both before and during stay.
