The Royal Oak Exmoor is a lovely B&B. The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was well stocked with shampoos, body wash and creams and the shower had great water pressure. Breakfast was delicious and the staff was really helpful and welcoming. Had a fabulous time!

We arrived at Exmoor House at 8:30pm after riding 120km through the rain from Bristol. Izzy & Peter welcomed us in and went above and beyond to make us feel right at home. The rooms were impeccably clean, well stocked with tea & coffee, and the beds were so comfortable. To top it off we enjoyed a delicious home cooked English breakfast the following morning. Thank you Izzy & Peter, we hope to return one day soon! With thanks from Catherine & Sam, Gaby & Ollie and Sam

Christine and Steve made us feel so welcome from when we first arrived.
The hut is the nicest Shepard's hut we've stayed in, and the kitchen and bathroom were so lovely and well equipped and warm. Everything is really well insulated, we didn't even need the under floor heating on during the night.
The farm is beautiful and they showed us feeding time with the animals, and how the pigs love a belly scratch!
You can see the lake from the top of the field and star gaze as there's no light pollution at all. Very close to lovely pubs nearby.
Beautiful English village, very well kept, very peaceful.
Beautiful English village, very well kept, very peaceful. Apart from the pub there is an old church, village green, war memorial and 2 "pack horse" bridges over small stream. English village at its best.

Such a pretty spot.
Such a pretty spot. The turning into the hotel car park is narrow, with a sharp turn. Although the road is quiet, it's advisable to exit the car park with caution.
Also, beware of the pheasants wandering around the road into the village - they think they own the place - well they do really.
There's a lovely park area with a couple of swings right opposite the hotel.
Listening to the river meandering its way under the pack horse bridge was very relaxing.
