When I arrived...late in the evening, staff were super friendly and very helpful.
My room was just what I needed. Bathroom was a basic shower but it worked and water was hot!
Bed was comfortable with extra pillows available.
I had breakfast included and the options at breakfast was spot on. Options for both hot buffet and some pasty options.
Felt very much like a blast from the past with outside walkways to your rooms, like a old school motel. The hotel is close to the main road, but as soon as you close both the outside main door and inner door I could not hear a thing.
Nestled amid 100 acres of parkland, this traditional English country house is perfectly positioned for exploring both the timeless elegance of Devon and the bustling center of Plymouth.

The spa facilities were very good, though a little crowded for the size. The spa treatments were exceptional. The breakfast also was exceptional.

If you don't enjoy travelling along narrow lanes or you have a new car you don't want to scratch, use the Newnham Industrial estate to Newnham Road and use the B3417 to Lee Moor and on to Wotter.

The hotel is like a diamond smuggled within a beautiful view of Dartmoor, very accommodating and very friendly. I also got a free upgrade on my room, which was great! The food is fantastic and the presentation of the food, made it look too good to eat. Cooked fresh and tasted wonderful. Good old fashioned excellent customer service is also offered, which you do not see often enough anymore. I will be staying there again on my next business trip to Derriford hospital
Our travel plans were delayed so we arrived at the hotel outside the hours when the reception was open. Plans were made by the hotel to accommodate this without fuss or complaint. We had a very good breakfast (which you do need to order in advance) and all the staff were lovely.
We stayed for just one night on a stopover for the Plymouth ferry and this was perfect. Location very quiet and the views from the room were fabulous.
Good dinner service, nice cosy bar area.
We enjoyed a nice curry which was lovely.
Well stocked bar with real ale.
Easy parking.
Straight onto Darkmoor.
The hotel is dog friendly.
Staff were very obliging and polite.
A lovely place to stay with the moor literally on your doorstep.
The Hotel was clean and tidy, the food delicious and the staff were brilliant.
We plan to go back later in the year for a longer stay.
