Just what we needed following a family bereavement. The accomodation was lovely, the garden was a sun trap late afternoon recent warm spell. Wrentham itself is such a friendly place. We have recommended this cottage to two people already.
This 4-star hotel is in Southwold town center, 656 feet from the beach. It offers free parking, two restaurants, a butler service and free WiFi throughout.

Lovely location overlooking a lake, a lovely old pub, with great food and amazing staff. The room was spacious and had a very good shower in the bathroom. Nice and quiet apart from an early morning delivery, presumably to do with the pub.

Close to Coast with Kessingland & Southwold both nearby and for those who don't drive the 99 coastal clipper takes less than 10 minute to Southwold and the 146 bus takes you to Kessingland, Beccles and Norwich and in the other direction also takes you to Southwold, all for just £2 each way!
Great local pub with another just 10 minutes walk away, convenience store for milk, bread & papers etc.
Lovely Black Dog Deli for a coffee and bagel.
Convenient chinese take-away where they will deliver if you dont fancy the 5 minute walk.
Great location and price

Wrentham is a very small village, but right on the A12, though we were not affected by the noise in our cottage. It has a couple of pubs and is easily accessible to Southwold. It looked like there may be some nice walks, but we didn't have time to do them.

Wrentham is ideally situated to explore Southwold from. We stayed two nights giving us one full day in Southwold. Wrentham is a pleasant little village, however, apart from a couple of pubs there is not a lot else there, although we did enjoy a stroll each evening around the village.
We stayed at the Five Bells, where we were very comfortable. The pub served great food and local ales on tap.

Beautiful area and close to A12 for access but none of the the noise, 5 mins from Southwold: fabulous. They have a big wood burning stove inside the bar for when it's cold. Big spacious room was nicely warm enough very quickly. Hot water HOT and shower nice and powerful. FOH Staff really nice and accomodating. Room clean and comfy, plenty of big towels etc., and only a step of two away from front door of pub. We enjoyed our stay in the main and would be pleased to return but we would eat elsewhere for dinner but, and as I've said, the breakfast was very good.
