Everything was lovely. The room was very comfortable and clean. The house itself is super cute, with a gorgeous garden. The hostess is very friendly and helpful, and breakfast was tasty. The car parking space at the entrance was very useful. Bonus; very cute cat. Also it is easy to walk into town and to the castle

Well thought and well made and designed room and bathroom. Robust, durable, modern. Room and bathroom were super clean with enough storage space. I loved the garden and the outdoor space. And, the owners were very nice and kind and took really well care of us, breakfast was excellent. It is quiet there, we parked our motorbikes behind gate, we had complete privacy, heating worked well....just great experience. Highly recommend and, its just 15-20 minutes walk from the fortress. We had amazing stay there.

A Wonderful Place with a City View! Panorama Rabat is a great spot to enjoy the atmosphere of the city. The view is truly breathtaking, especially at sunset. The interior is stylish and cozy, and the staff is polite and attentive. The food was delicious and beautifully presented — the local dishes and desserts were especially delightful. It's a perfect place for a romantic dinner or a gathering with friends. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Apart from being assigned a different room than the one I had booked (due to the previous guest extending his stay), everything was brilliant! The host was very welcoming and supportive, always willing to help with anything. The food was delicious, seemingly prepared with great love by the hostess herself. The house's location is wonderful—right at the foot of the Rabati fortress, where I enjoyed both sunsets and sunrises from the top.

    There's a lot to see in the fortress although it has been...

    There's a lot to see in the fortress although it has been quite heavily restored with some totally new buildings. Nothing else in Akhaltsikhe itself but it's a good base for Varzia cave city and Sapara Monastery - always best to arrive early everywhere and you often have the place to yourself (not Varzia, too popular). Beautiful scenery on both trips. (If you have a car that needs washing before returning to the car hire, there's an excellent car wash on the Varzia road.)

    Castle is amazing!Worth of visiting for sure!One of the Georgian highlights!You can set the base here,and go around a bit,to such a place as Vardzia and so,and to go straight to Batumi from there (just be aware of the snow-covered pass during the winter/early spring time, not available by regular car).

    We made a last minute change to our travel plans to come to Akhaltsikhe for 1 night. 1 night us definitely not enough, 2 nights would have been better to fit in a a slow paced tour of vardzia (2-3 hours recommended, plus 2 hours total driving time). Give plenty of time to have a full tour of the fortress. The town is very cute, and cool experience

    One afternoon and one day were long enough to see the castle...

    One afternoon and one day were long enough to see the castle and go on a basic tour of the area. With two days more I would have gone to see the various churches and synagogues in town and taken the time for a hike in the surrounding mountains.

    Very impressive fortress/castle of IX century, rebuilt in XII century. However, in my opinion, some parts of the reconstruction of 2012 doesn't fit well with old structures and makes to desire much more. Overall, it is worth to visit it. But, if you are in Akhaltsikhe, you are simply OBLIGUED to visit Vardzia caves (1 hour away). It will leave you astonished!!! And also Saro megaliths and ruins of 2nd millennium BC (45 min away)... And much more...

    A very interesting place.

    A very interesting place. Rabati was fantastic, there are many other beautiful fortresses, churches, monasteries around. The nature was beautiful. Only about 62 km from Vardzia - a must see in Georgia.

    We highly recommend this lovely, clean and modern apartment in Akhaltsikhe. The apartment is warm and cosy and has all the facilities you could need - equipped kitchen, washing machine, parking and modern bathroom. The hosts were very kind, even leaving some lovely sweets and home made wine. Highly recommend!
