It was nice to stay in Mestia at Shgedi. It's a nice but pretty old hotel that should get a renovation. My room was a little bit tired, with scratches and dents all around as well as the shower was troublesome with low pressure, old shower cap and not comfortable to use. The bed was not a single one, but two beds separated from each other with definitely not the bed sheets that you would wish for. At first, breakfasts were good but they tend to be shorter as the amount of people staying there were reducing during my stay. It had a good parking lot, even though it was an open one, it still gave me enough space to park my vehicle and it was shoveled during all my stay. If it was more comfortable mattresses, pillows, a little bit better shower and probably free access to the washing machine and drier I would give it a higher score. It was also weird that the restaurant inside was only used for breakfast and not for lunch or dinner, which makes no sense giving attention that there are a lot of square meters there. I would also wish that there was a sauna or hamam where you can steam up and warm up your muscles after a day of working out in the mountains. Regarding the price I wish it was cheaper, but it's a pretty fair price for what you get.
