Peaceful Location: The hotel is located in a quiet area of the island, which makes for a relaxing stay. The beach near the hotel was also tranquil.
Good Dining Nearby: There are several restaurants nearby with very good cuisine and beautiful sea views.
Convenient for Trips: We used the hotel as a base for trips by car around the island, visiting various beaches and the main historical town.
Overall, while the location and surrounding amenities were enjoyable, the issues with room cleanliness and the check-in process left something to be desired. I would recommend this hotel for those looking for a quiet stay but be prepared for some inconveniences.
Facing the beachfront, Gennadi Grand Resort offers 5-star accommodations in Gennadi and features a garden, bar and private beach area.

Our room faced the sea, and waking up to that view each morning was magical. The private balcony provided a perfect setting for morning coffee with a view.

Sea and the beach was amazing, I just couldn’t figure out why few people preferred seaside. On the other hand, pools were nice also. There were lots of pools and we didn’t feel the crowd in any of them. Most of the rooms have pools of their own which makes it perfect if you need relaxation.
Rooms are spotless clean, they are very good decorated and designed. You can use a trolley to access the rooms and travelling inside the hotel with a trolley is also quite easy.
There are many restaurants you can choose from. We tried three of them, and all were good quality. Open buffet was well above average. Kids corner in the buffet was a plus and you can have fresh juices there.
Manager George took care of us too well. In case you have anything in mind, George will make that happen:)
Offering pool views, Gennadi Gardens exclusive apartments in Gennadi offers accommodations, a terrace, and a bar. Both free Wifi and parking on-site are available at the apartment free of charge.

Gennadi a lovely traditional small Greek village, located in South of Rhodes, about 20minutes drive from Lindos. I feel we experienced the authentic Greek food in the local restaurants in Gennadi (Mama's kitchen, Temptation, Zorbos, Sergio's, Bessa's). Everyone very friendly and welcoming. Supermarket well stocked with all the essentials. The Lab is lovely for cocktails and drinks. We were walking distance from the village but also hired a car for exploring other parts of the island. There is a good bus system servicing Gennadi to other parts of the island and very cheap e.g. €3 for bus from Gennadi to Lindos.

Gennadi is an adorable small village featuring a handful of delightful restaurants, a bakery, and a small grocery store. It enjoys a convenient location, with short driving distances to neighboring villages and cities – just 10 minutes to Kiotari and 30 minutes to Lindos. The journey to Rhodes Old Town takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes by car. If you prefer tranquil, less touristy destinations, Gennadi is an excellent choice.

Best beaches in the whole of Rhodes.
Best beaches in the whole of Rhodes. Since the winds are usually blowing from north/west and Gennadi is situated on the southeast coast the place is less windy. The beach is really long and has pebbles, so you don't get sand everywhere.
There is a really nice beach front bar/restaurant called Sposa del Sol. Their signature drink Sposa del Sol is super good. They have beach front sunbeds and sofas for their clients.
Along the beach there is also another really nice restaurant Klimis, with nice homemade food. Best fried vegetables are found here.
In the village of Gennadi there are a lot of very good restaurants. At least Mama and Zorbas have superb Greek traditional foods. I am sure there are many more good ones also, we just did not have time to visit them all.
Gennadi is cheaper and more genuine than the old town of Rhodes and Lindos, and it is a more tranquil place.
One of the nicest places that we have visited in Greece.
It is recommended to rent a car - it will give you so much more freedom and easy. But there is also a bus.

A large village / small town with a good selection of bars,...
A large village / small town with a good selection of bars, restaurants, a green grocer, excellent bakery, and reasonable supermarket. South of here, things become increasingly spartan, whilst northwards they are increasingly touristy, so strikes a good balance between practicality and traditional feel.
Set back about 250m from the beach, with some very nice properties available to rent, some with pools.
Has a good local feel to it, with plenty of local people around, not just tourists.
Food prices generally good - a large, whole, grilled fish for 18 euros at Zorba's Tavern, for example, or a very fat gyros with pork for 3 euros at Bessa's Corner. Some restaurants push Italian pizza and pasta as well as Greek traditions, with one or two feeling more traditional (e.g. goat stew or excellent moussaka at Sergio's Old Times). Some offer take out and delivery service too if you are outside the village (e.g. Bessa's Corner can deliver all sorts of grills and gyros).
At the back of the village is a small church, with a pleasant walk through a green way to the graveyard and valley behind.
Bus stop by the pharmacy on the main road, with easy access to Lindos (2.70 one way), Rhodes (7.20 one way) and other places. Car and scooter hire available in the village itself too.

We love Gennadi. It has some lovely restuarants .
We love Gennadi. It has some lovely restuarants . Fully recommend going to Mammas but you need to book as gets very busy, food is great. The town itself is very pretty and at night they close down the main street and all the restaurants bring their tables out. Greek dance happens at night in the street also. Gennadi has everything you need a small supermarket, bakery, greengrocers and is very close to the beach. The beach is very pebbley so take some beach shoes with you

No words can describe this hotel but WOW!! I thoroughly loved my stay, the staff, the beach, the restaurants and the pool lounges were amazing. I didn't want to leave. The rooms have everything you need and more. The breakfast was like eating in a fine dining restaurant, had everything you could imagine. And the spa retreat, heaven, I had to drag myself out of there, it was so good I could have stayed there all day. I will be staying here again when I visit rhodes, highly recommend to everyone.
The hotel is located in the center of Gennadi, close to restaurants, grocery stores, and bakeries. The apartment was well-equipped and the wifi connection worked perfectly. The room and the hotel in general were spotless. Despite being close to the center of town, the area is very tranquil. There are three swimming pools. although there are small, there was always space and free sun beds. There was a parking space for the car. The staff was very welcoming and helpful.
A fantastic house in a wonderful location. Having the secluded beach to ourselves was great and the house pool was also amazing. The local village of Gennadi was a delight, with some great restaurants. Our host Donna was excellent. She not only made us feel welcome but she gave us a host of useful travel tips and places to see, which were superb.
Hotel has a tranquil, unique and close to nature feel. It's right next to a pebble beach with free sun beds and almost no other people anywhere (this was october). Food is served outside and the setting was really nice. It is possible to walk to a nearby not so touristic village with some restaurant options and a supermarket.
The Villa was clean and it was perfect for our family holiday. All questions were responded to quickly. A great base for exploring Rhodes. It was a short walk to the small village of Gennadi, which had everything we needed. The children loved the pool which they used every day.
Thanks - we will visit again.
