The kitchen was quite old-fashioned but sufficiently equipped—especially the fridge with the ice box. The main room was clean and sufficiently big, with a perfect bed. The bath was very small but clean. The highlight of our room (all guests have general access but don`t use it :-) was the big terrace, which was equipped with deck chairs and looked out to the beach. The car can be parked for free in the hotel's big parking area, approximately 100m away.

Melissa Hotel is a beautiful family run business. It is within walking distance of the beach but far enough away from the busyness to be peaceful. The service we received was excellent and we were made to feel right at home . Breakfast offered a variety of dishes, many of which had been made in house.

Booked this property quite last minute and it was a great choice for a short stay. Always great to return to Matala and get the chance to spend a night there. The room was spacious and clean. We also had breakfast included which was great for the price. The main beach is a slow 10 minute walk away.

The appartment was a great combination of good value, proximity to the beach, onsite parking and a really friendly host. We were there with four adults and two small children for three days and it was great for a brief stay like ours. It was spotlessly clean and the double bed and bunk beds were very comfortable. There was always plenty of hot water too.

Very comfortable! Simply furnished with great beds. Plentiful, varied breakfast with a lot of choices. Great staff, very thoughtful. Wonderful pool and surrounding garden.
