Good location. Nice terrace on upper floor looking out over the lake. (although I wouldn't want to stay in one of the rooms next to the terrace) Good restaurants nearby.

A lovely hotel with a beautiful view, and hospitable staff. We were concerned about the noise complaints so we decided not to stay on the island over the weekend and arrived on Sunday. I'm glad we made that choice because even Sunday night the Disco next door was going and the music is very loud so we could still hear it in our room which was facing the water, however We were able to mostly drown it out with our white noise machine. I would not have enjoyed it if they had that every night. Monday night It was very quiet, so they probably have music at the Disco Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night. If we ended up in one of the rooms facing the street it would have been unbearable. The beds were comfortable, but small. My partner and I are average size people and we ended up sleeping on separate beds so that we had enough room. We enjoyed the restaurant downstairs and the location very much. We would probably stay here again if given the choice, just not over the weekend. It's very clean and the staff are lovely. The bathroom was a good size and also very clean with good water pressure and hot water

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Amelia. The room was maybe on the smaller size, but perfect for what we needed. The AC was wonderful in the 40 degree temps. There is a really nice terrace overlooking the lake which is great for watching the sunset. There is also a nice restaurant and bar down below which serves really nice food, and again, is perfect for watching the sunset. The location is perfect, very close to the swimming area, kayaking, and lots of restaurants and shops (although the island is so small, everything is close by!).
This beachfront Island of Flores hotel is 6 minutes’ walk from the Embarcadero boat pier and the Flores bust terminal.

Nice little town on a small islands, the water level of the lake varies so parts of town are inundated. Waking up in the morning you hear the howler moneyks, very special. Do go and visit Tikal, it made me so happy to see that there is so much intact rainforest left and the rangers take good care of it. But be prepared that it will be very, very, very hot and humid!

Flores is a charming little city with great restaurants and hostels and a few cute boutique (but not fancy) hotels. Most people just fly up for the day, but there is a lot todo in the area and it’s really worth staying for 3-4 days. We recommend getting a private lancha boat for $50 for a half day for your group and touring the very large lake. You can see a wildlife refuge, short hike to a viewing point, and island with a cool museum, and several small lakeside towns in this amount of time. Crater Azul and the Actun Ha caves are also cool. Flores has great cheap restaurants including Los Amigos, Terrazzo, Maple y Ticino, and Maravuya.

Separate room units a little walking distance from front desk and restaurant but the rooms were spacious and very nice and clean. I liked having a phone in the room for assistance. The view was lovely from the room. Shuttle service a plus. Restaurant clean and good food choices but I wouldn't order beef dishes again tough to eat! Pool water too cold for me! Nice service.

Flores is the best place to stay outside of Guatemala city to see most of the touristic attractions. Excursions to all of the monuments in Peten region are possible from the hotels or many small agencies in the town, as well as transfers to Palenque, Belize, and Lake Atitlan.

The area of Flores is lovely and fun to explore. It is not a large area so if you are looking for days of exploring you need to go elsewhere. If you are looking for a relaxed, yet charming, few days then this is where to go.

The bright colors of the building and the nice sunset views by the water are a great + to this place, and it is very easy to get around

Erick was really welcoming, responsive, and attentive to our needs and situation. Always ready to help and give good advice.
The place is quiet, nice and has a nice view over Flores Island and the lake. You get to the hotel thanks to a small boat and the ones you take to get there and leave are free (otherwise it's 10Q per person until 10:00pm). Around the hotel there's a viewpoint, a beach and a small archeological site. For the rest you always have to take a small boat.
Nice room, hot shower.
Flores island is really tiny so it’s just 5-6 minutes walk from the shuttle drop off point (I love Petén sign) to the hostel. There’s a small kitchen with 4 gas hobs + fridge + coffee machine + clean plates and utensils + spices. Refillable water provided. The family helps to wash the dishes for us which is really nice. There are 2 shared toilets outside and a shower, and they’re clean. Bed was clean and decent but I didn’t have a good sleep because it was toooooo hottttttt in the room
We just had the best time there. Probably the best apartment we had so far on our current travels. The hostess is such a lovely lady and help us out with everything, she even did our washing and offered us to help with booking tours. Everyone travelling to Flores we would absolutely recommend the stay at Ximel House! The house is also right next to the lake, Lanchas right infront of your front door.
Super cute house/building at the shore of lake peten itza, nice to just walk out and jump into the lake. The swimming pool and restaurant are a beautiful spot to spend time there. The view from the hotel room to the lake was superb! The air conditioner worked beutifully which is esscential in a place like Flores.
A wonderful hotel !!!
All was great : the mini suite with wiew on the lake is incredible, the restaurant great, the stuff really nice but the best is to swim in the lake!!!
