The hotel is a two minute walk from the main gate to the old town, so the location is excellent. Cars cannot easily enter the old town, so it pays to be just outside so that your taxi or rideshare can drop you off at the hotel itself.
We really enjoyed our stay here and it was a great hotel to stay at. Everything was very good and in particular the breakfast have a great choice, both as a buffet and à la carte.
A very comfortable bed and a very good shower, a good size room and good lighting. Staff are all super pleasant and had a great attitude
Would definitely come back again.

All good. However, a first compliment bottle of water should be present free of charge or for less. 2,75€ for a tiny, 1 glass size water bottle is not fair and makes me downgrade the rate.

An old favourite inside the walls of Diocletian's ruined palace in Split, a location which is both convenient and romantic for those of a historic bent. Great to be able to eat a good breakfast while gazing out at the ruins and the marble Roman road.

Stunning Split stands proudly on the eastern shores of the Adriatic Sea, and due to its great climate is called the Mediterranean Flower. It features eclectic architecture, spectacular views and delicious cuisine.
Split is centred around the ancient Roman Palace of the Emperor Diocletian, a magnificent building constructed at the beginning of the 4th century AD and boasting limestone and marble towers, columns and courtyards. It lies in a bay decorated with white sails of yachts, as sailing is definitely Split’s big thing!
The city is full of architectural gems, one of which is St. Duje’s Cathedral, the oldest cathedral in the world, built in 305 AD and combining both Roman and Catholic influences. Nearby Varoš is a must-see, one of the city’s oldest parts, full of charming streets and beautiful houses.
Make sure you visit the Bačvice Beach and the Riva promenade, popular with locals and full of cafés and palm trees. While on the hunt for local specialities, try soparnik - wood-fired dough filled with vegetables - or local soda drinks Pipi and Orela.
So just pack your bags and head to Split Airport! Booking.com has plenty of sunny apartments, friendly guest houses and well-appointed hotels for your Split adventure.
Nice town. Loved the old palace and its ruins, and wandering round the old palace streets and shops. Lots of cafes and restaurants. Lots of place to stay. The walk up through the old Jewish cemetery to the top of the hill is nice with beautiful views of the city.

Overall we had a great time in Split.
Overall we had a great time in Split. During the day were to many tourists and we took the ferry to some of the island near by and the bus to Trogir and Omis to escape the crowds. The area has a lot to offer, nice restaurants, beaches, historical places, cozy little shops to wonder around.

Interesting historic town. Good boat trips.
Interesting historic town. Good boat trips. Shame the re development of Zngan meant we were living on a building site with no access to beach. Lack of nearby eating places and shops except up a very steep hill. Got familiar with local bus's. May be better staying nearer the centre or having use of a car

Lovely city with lots of history and we felt very safe.
Lovely city with lots of history and we felt very safe. Easy to walk around and definitely worth a visit. The old historical sites and museums are very well-curated and very interesting. Sadly, the old town is very expensive and geared mainly for tourists and cruise ships (unfortunately) with lots of cafes, restaurants and ice cream shops, which means that while you see a lot of great historic locations, you don't get a feel of being in a place where you see how locals typically live. The famous old Spa was recently closed and will probably be turned into yet another hotel, and the old fish market which used to spill out onto the street has been "contained" in a building so that the tourists aren't "affected" by the smell of fish...... which means it's all becoming a bit cosmetic. Prices in the old town are rising fast, even off-peak, (again, due to tourists) so best to shop out of the main centre. The free Split Card (available from any Tourist Office) gives lots of discounts and even free entrance to some museums for 72 hours - a great bonus for visitors to the city.

Came here by catamaran from Dubrovnik.
Came here by catamaran from Dubrovnik. Almost preferred it to Dubrovnik as far more real and mixed. So safe, lots to do and see. Incredibly fascinating history. Go off the tourist bits, better value! Go to Trogir for the day. Go to the really genuine little Konoba by the fishmarket for dinner but you'll need cash.

Apartment is more cosy than in the pictures. Even with outside temperature above 30 degrees, the bedrooms were nice and cool to sleep in (we didn’t use air condition). There were different kind of tea and coffee in the kitchen and many different kind of shampoo, shower gel etc in the bathroom, probably leftovers from the previous guests. Very good style that the owner leaves them in the apartment for the future guests.
The apartment is just next to the big square in the old town.
This is the best place we ever stayed in Croatia.
A tasteful well appointed property. Location was amazing, minutes walk from the old town. Vlanko met us at property and had reserved a car space right out front for us… this is like gold in Split so made our stay hassle free. Coffee machine was fabulous, we enjoyed this with fresh local croissants before heading off for day to explore. We were able to wash clothes and reset in the middle of our travels in Croatia.
Luxury hotel with clean, large rooms, lots of amenities, friendly and helpful staff, and great location. Easy walk to old town and great room views. Even easier walk to the beach. Pool and lounge area is also very nice if you don't want to leave the property one day. Highly recommend. It was the best room we had our entire two week trip in Croatia, full patio was so nice to have.
Really amazing room with the most comfortable bed in Croatia! Best sleep I've had in years.... Right in the heart of the old town, with fantastic original stone work. Room had a good sized fridge, and the shower was hot and powerful. The host was amazingly friendly and welcoming, giving us great advice about what to see in the area. Highly recommended!
- The room was very spacious, clean and looked recently renovated
- Comfortable bed
- Welcoming drinks, snacks and also plenty of extra hotel kits (shower gel, shampoos, shaving kit, etc)
- Host gave us the restaurant recommendation for our best meal in Croatia. Just a few meters from the apartment :)
