Basically a good choice with free parking available, however located in the suburb. Fortunately several bus line to the city centre. Spacious, clean room. Friendly staff. Breakfast is tolerable, not a high quality one. Pool, sauna, dump. :-)

Hotel has good location little above the city center, rooms are spacious and comfortable, I liked sauna (you ask the receptionist beforehand to turn it on) and small pool for cooldown. There were almost no guests in January, so you practically have all for yourself. Viktoria at the reception was very kind and helpful. Garage available for a little fee, or you can try luck in the steep streets around. I have read the previous reviews (ideally always do that) and the hotel did not surprise with anything, on contrary. it exceeded expectations in some aspects.

Clean, safe, parking spot was available, center city
if you have nothing specific to do just avoid it. The Eu attribution of cultural capital is a joke. Half of the city is empty or to sell. People earn under 5 eur / hour with prices equal Budapest.

Very nice historic city.
Very nice historic city. It has several interesting sites to visit, from different époques. Nice restaurants and friendly people. The language is a bit problematic as all the signs and information is written only in Hungarian. What is even greater is that there are two nice spa centers in surroundings (20-30km) and a wine region (nice villages), so it is nice to visit them during your stay, as they nicely complement cultural offer Pecz provides.

There are amazing views over Pecs if , and that is a big if, the advertised views from your accommodation are real - often there is a view if you are in exactly the right room or part of the building, and if not, tough luck.
I have been there before and loved it; but the very disappointing room this time tainted the experience. So pick your place carefully - eg. don't be beguiled with stories of fabulous views over the city - check for yourself, and consider carefully if you would rather have a great view or easy and quick access to the many fantastic squares and buildings and museums etc. downtown and near downtown. There are excellent and reasonable places right downtown that will be comfortable and allow you to enjoy the city.

Pécs is a lovely place in Hungary with an expansive cultural heritage. The Cathedral, Széchenyi square and Zsolnay quarter are just a few of the must see spots. You can have very good food and wine (or beer) in Király street.
If you're feeling adventurous, Mecsek has the most amazing trails But even if you don't have whole day for hiking just make sure to visit Tettye and walk up to the observatory there.
Pécs is doable by foot most of the times, but has very accessible bus service as well. You can buy tickets on the bus with cash (forint).
Make sure to check the actual events (and book in advance) to experience the street market vibes, when all the best wineries of Hungary and traditional food stalls represent themselves.
See you in Pécs!

Pecs is a terrific little picturesque town with heaps of interesting churches, a mosque, a synagogue, museums and ancient burial sites. Most things are very close by. On Sunday everything is closed except cafes and it's like a ghost town which is good for avoiding hordes of tourists. Pecs is neat as a pin and would probably win a tidy town contest. There's plenty of food places and our favorite was the Korheli pub. I'm glad we chose to stop here for a couple of nights.

This was our third visit to this hotel, and I must say we were again very pleased and satisfied.
We booked a suite again (not a regular room), and it met our expectations. The suite 'living area' is separated from the 'sleeping area' with a wall, so you can sit on a corner sofa and watch TV, and you won't disturb someone who decided to sleep.
In the end, I must say that they fulfill our wish and give us bed for babies. For free, of course 😊.
One of the must-go places in Hungary if you are a fan of history and antiques. Pecs is rather small in comparison to Budapest where I came from this time. The original idea was to spend a lovely weekend together with my soon-to-be fiance. And our pleasant stay at this hostel has made this whole journey more memorable and wonderful. Highly recommended to ALL!
The location is nice. We were only a short walk to the town center, and many restaurants and pubs are nearby. The parking was a surprise. I thought we were going to park on the street, but the hotel has a secured parking lot. The size of the room was sufficient.
Hotel is near the touristic sites of Pecs. Parking is available and free for visitors. Hotel has a very nice yard where you can spend your evenings enjoying the nice weather. Breakfast is quite tasty and selection is quite varied.
Our host welcomed us and led us to the parking lot. She took us into the beautiful, comfortable and spacious apartment. She is warm and helpful. It was a wonderful experience in Pecs!
