Our stay was fantastic! The staff goes out of their way to be of assistance, especially when you wish to go on any tours. We were very fortunate to be there for a special three month ceremony which the staff arranged for us. This is a special time and celebration for a three month old baby. The views from the hotel are beautiful as you are right amongst the rice terracing. Also, the hotel is not in Munduk town, which has many tourists, but in the quiet village of Gesing, less than 10 minute drive away. The staff at Lesong was more than happy to give us a lift to Munduk one evening for dinner and picked us up afterwards.

Such an incredible place to stay! The views from our room were insanely gorgeous. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and welcoming. The villa was very clean and tidy, the bed was very comfortable and all of the facilities were great. So relaxing and peaceful with the ocean sounds right outside our room. The villa's restaurant was amazing too. Walking distance to so much beauty.

Be ready to go a lot through the stairs. I like it. And I think it worth, but my son was tired sometimes. If you are going to use funicular railway, waiting may take long.

This estate is perfectly located for a trip to the north of Bali. Stunning from the balcony of the room and the pool, which is as beautiful as it looks on the picture. With the scooters that you can rent at the estate, the lakes and the villages in the north are all very feasible to reach.
The breakfast was good. in the street behind the estate there are some very good Warungs to enjoy food and a drink.

Munduk and Bedugul area is perfect for those that like hiking off the typical balinese tourist locations. There are plenty hiking routes to walk in rice fields, around the lakes, at waterfalls, etc. The restaurants in this area are more local, but also offer some light international kitchen. The nights are more refreshing than in the south and the nature can be fascinating with the clouds, the rain and the sunshine chasing each other. For those that want to explore some curves roads with bicycles or scooters or motorbikes, it is a perfect choice.

I didn't visit the village of Munduk but absolutely loved the solitude and gentle peace I felt in the surrounds. It's a must if you need a break from the maddening crowds at the other over-touristy places in Bali.
And if you're in the area, definitely visit Banjar Buddhist Temple, Tegeha village

The nature is beautiful : waterfalls, jungle, lakes, rice fields, coffee plantation. However, except trekking, there is absolutely nothing to do in this area which is vey secluded. There are no taxis, grab, gojek etc… you have to book a private driver for everything (even going to dinner), which is quite expensive and annoying. We spent 4 nights there and it was too long.

Amazing views to mountains from basically any hotel or restaurant. Many hiking trails to waterfalls or little bit further by the lake. Beautiful nature and very friendly locals. Stayed at Adila Homestay - very nice place with restaurant and many services on site + waterfalls hiking track behind their house. Also visited restaurant Made Warung and warung Kadirasa - both family owned by locals, in Kadirasa I was albe to sing karaoke with the owner. Please go and support them in every way possible, its really hard to survive out here for them.

Wonderful hotel immersed in the nature of Munduk. The structure is very well kept, the bungalow we stayed in was facing the tropical jungle and the secret waterfall. We loved the hammock to lie on with blankets and cushions, listening to the sounds of animals. The beds were extremely comfortable, we had an amazing sleep.
The breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious and high quality. The staff was nice and helpful. We did not find any animal of bug, which we appreciated, although it could be expected! I’d definitely recommend!
Doni was a wonderful host. He picked us up in Ubud and we had a very nice talk in the car, sharing stories about the (shared) Dutch and Indonesian culture and history.
The accommodation is very simple, but has an amazing view over the rice fields and the small town of Gobleg. We hired a well functioning scooter and had some nice trips to the waterfalls in the region of Munduk.
Quiet hotel away from the main street
You can hike the 5 waterfalls nearby (2 to 5 hour walk, staff provide you a map)
And walk also near the rice fields and coffee and clove plantation
Breakfast is filling and with different choices
Restaurant for lunch and dinner is tasty with many choices (family cooking) yummy
Room is clean and WiFi is running
Everything was perfect. So clean, the views amazing and the staff so humble and kind. Defenitly, if we would come back to munduk, we stayed in those pretty and Cousy hotel.
