Everything about my stay was perfect - Ketut and his family are such kind and thoughtful hosts. Ketut was always available, happy to chat and answer questions and help with solutions to the little unknowns that invariably pop up when visiting a new place for the first time. The breakfasts (and other meals offered) were all delicious and prepared with love. The villa and location are impeccable - I absolutely loved being surrounded by the sounds of nature and waking up to hear the roosters and see the sun rising over rice paddies. The villa was appealingly minimal but with every need considered from the comfortable bed to the lovely spacious bathroom and well stocked fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. 11/10 for cleanliness throughout.

Sidemen downtown is like any other small city on Bali, however when you left the main road towards the rice fields it gets better. There are the nice hotels and restaurants which a lot of nice views and the famous silver classes where you can make your own jewelry for 300K.

We only stayed for four nights before moving in to the north coast.
I found out about Sidemen upon TikTok recommendations, it did not disappoint. Nice quiet area ideal for couples, lots of lovely restaurants around. We visited Gembleng waterfall which was amazing and also Besakih Temple.
Also had traditional Balinese massage at Yuna Spa.

Sideman was nice and tranquil, would definitely recommend for someone looking for a more relaxing atmosphere than that at Ubud but would still like to experience the rice fields and beautiful mountainous scenery
Gorgeous mountains, lovely people, quiet environment amongst the rice fields, and many interesting things to discover, including a pagoda (long walk uphill, but definitely worth every step), waterfalls, and green lanes branching out from the main roads in the village.

It is a place for relaxation.
It is a place for relaxation. Very rural but ability to do rice field tours, silver making, trek to Mount Agur, walk to the beautiful waterfall etc. If you are into party life this is not the place for you.

The view was amazing! The village was very calm and very beautiful.
The staff was so nice and friendly, we loved their hospitality.
If you go to Bali and want to enjoy the calmness and peacefullness of the island, you need to visit Sidemen. The rice terraces were gorgeous! And you can rent a scooter from the hotel to visit the nearby temples or just ride freely in the picturesque neighbourhood.
I would love to come back to the same place!
Really felt so lucky to stay at Dika homestay, was made super comfortable straight away by Wayan. The location was great, breakfast was tasty and I had a stunning view of sidemen from my breakfast table. The room was clean and modern, I had my best night sleeps here. The whole family were so kind and helped organise laundry, ricefield walk, waterfalls & boat transfer for the next part of my trip. Would highly recommend.
The location of the hotel...Sidemen is very quiet compared to Ubud. In the center there is not really something to see, only shops for locals...The hotel is situated outside Sidemen (30 min walk) with a nice view on rice fields. As there are also other hotels around, there is a nice choice of restaurants within walking distance... we enjoyed one of the best food in Bali there.
Everything in this hotel is simply wonderful, the food is excellent, the rooms are spacious and elegant, I advise you to come to Bali to try this hotel
