All staff were fab, special thanks to the guy who whipped us up a few cocktails! The hotel was clean and our room was very spacious. There was a function happening downstairs and we couldn’t hear a thing from our room. The food was good in the bar and parking was available. Street parking was plentiful too and the town is so quiet I wouldn’t even worry about leaving the car overnight. Chemist and Centra nearby if needed. Also, there’s a gorgeous lake 2 mins away where we sat and enjoyed the view.

Terrible place with so much wrong with it. The carpet on the stairs was filthy and the carpet in the room wasn't much better. One hand towel in the bathroom and this was torn. Hot tap slow to come on and then scalding hot. No chain on the sink stopper. Toilet cistern extremely slow to fill and difficult to flush. No milk in the room for the tea/coffee. Tiny TV on top of the wardrobe but no remote control. Breakfast was served in the hotel next door. The staff here were not immediately aware that we were booked for breakfast. Luckily it wasn't raining or we would have been soaked walking to breakfast.
Staff in the bar were friendly.
We feel like we should get a refund for this awful experience but the pub where we checked in wasn't open the morning we left so couldn't raise our issues with anyone.
Don't stay here. Find somewhere else. Literally anywhere else. It's not a hotel despite how it's described.

Veronica was very helpful when our plans changed slightly and could not have been more helpful. We had Tea, Coffee, Milk and biscuits left our for us and they had also lit the stove to ensuring that the property was nice and cosy. Excellent hosts!

This is my 3rd time here and it never disappoints. The room, spa, and grounds are so lovely and well maintained. Staff were very helpful.

Bit disappointing the room I booked was a room with 2 double beds and the room given was 3 singles beds. Also bar staff were rude when enquiring about food & said room service was still available which reception then told us it wasn’t.
