We really liked the calmness of the area, the stable house was amazing and everything we needed was there.
The brunch we had as well in the restaurant/cafe the next morning was brilliant.
We will 100% be back when we need a break to the countryside.

This place is lovely the owner Michael is fantastic. So friendly even offers to drop you in town. Gives loads of tips and advice also makes a great cup of tea.
The bed was so comfortable the bathroom huge. We will go back especially after he informed us in Athy there is a train directly to Dublin.
Best of both worlds

This was very handy for my trip. It was more than sufficient for a place for me to sleep and rest after my event happened. The owners were friendly. I didn't have to have much interactions with them. so it was fine.

Super welcoming hosts. Cosy big bedroom, clean shower and WC. Clean sheets and super crispy towels. There is a mini kitchen and even board games! I love this place. It's so quiet and peaceful. I recommend a long stay if you're working in surrounding areas for some time or looking for a quiet weekend. It's not my first time here. Excellent money value for such a place to stay.

The house was very confortable and the hosts kind and helpful. We stayed there on a longer trip but we didn't visit Athy except for St Michael's Church in Barrowhouse (less than a km from the house). From there we went to the Wicklow Mountains and Glendalough in less than an hour, that's why we chose Athy for a night's sleep on our way. Our hosts made us wish to stay longer and get acquainted with them and their ponies, something our children would have gladly done.

Athy seems to be suffering from the amount of traffic flow through the high street...possible cause of the dereliction?
A lot of shops and houses boarded up which did not make the town feel very safe although it did make an interesting photo opportunity
More traffic on the canal would help reduce the smell as using the locks would move the water
When the new by pass opens it should help remove the large number of lorries

A lovely stay in the countryside of Athy. Willsgrove house is only a short distance away from Clonard Court Hotel, where we attended a wedding. Michael the host was very accommodating and even picked us up from the hotel in the early hours as we could not get a taxi. Overall, it was a lovely peaceful place to stay with very spacious room and bathroom. Would definitely stay again.
Lovely stay in a nice room with great food, good variety and included plant based selection, good service by friendly staff, even though it was midterm and the hotel was busy it was a relaxed atmosphere. Would recommend and would like to visit again
The breakfast was amazing. I have stayed at 5 star hotels that don't compare. The location was amazing the room was amazing. The house was amazing and the reception and attention to detail during our stay was out of this world
Mary and Raymond were more than accommodating and even provided a lift into Athy at no cost.
Room was first rate as was the breakfast and tailored to each of us
