Perfectly situated right in between Thurles and Cashel, a perfect spot to use as a base for visiting other areas. We absolutely loved it - especially since my mom and girlfriend both love horses! lol Dad and I enjoyed the food the most! spectacular service and scrumptious food!! all made from scratch and perfectly done too!!! amenities were great and staff was very very helpful! I'd be back in a gallop ! lol

Good breakfast, comfortable bed, quiet neighborhood..Very friendly and helpful owners, Tess and John..We had a tire "problem" and John took it to the "shop" himself at no charge to see if the tire could be fixed (it could not)..

The property is gorgeous. Bedroom was very spacious and comfortable with crisp linen sheets and a four poster bed. The bathroom was huge, but did require two steps up to the toilet/tub/shower area. The living room on the main floor was beautiful and provided us with a place to unwind and enjoy the sunset. Morning breakfast included warm scones, juice, tea/coffee, yogurt with fresh fruit and granola, and your choice of scrambled eggs with bacon or a full Irish breakfast. Jean, the host, outdid herself. It was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our conversations with the host (and her little son). A perfect stay!
The lodge was of exceptional standard. There was personal touches such as home made cookies and cakes along with a pint of milk waiting for us! The host knew we were travelling with small children so ensured there were toys and games in there. It made the experience so much easier and enjoyable to arrive and meet Avril and know the children could settle immediately and we could have a cup of tea! Avril even put a beer and a gin in the fridge for us. The lodge was incredibly well stocked with everything you need. I would highly recommend a stay there. We will be back
