Very friendly staff. Breakfast was great and the kids loved the offering. Great view out over the Moy from our bedroom. The number of fire doors on our corridor was a little overwhelming with 3 kids in tow! Location was great.

we didn’t even stay at the property and it certainly didn’t look like this picture.
The beautiful Ice House Hotel is right on the River Moy Estuary at Ballina. It has stunning views, ultra-luxury bedrooms and the award winning Chill Spa with its Waterside Garden.
This beautiful and historic castle is set within 1,000 acres of woodland. On the banks of the River Moy, it boasts a restaurant made from the remains of a 17th-century Spanish galleon.

Could smell smoke from the fire downstairs in our room upstairs, most of the night.
The sausages were off at breakfast. The coffee was cheap and watered down, as was the orange juice. Couldn't cut the bacon.
There was dust on the headboard of the bed and all round the edge of the carpet and stairway.
There was a stain on the side of the bed base. The sink in the bathroom was dirty.
For the money we paid €252 for B&B, we were very, very disappointed.
We wouldn't go back or recommend it to anyone

A bit expensive for b and b. Place empty. Drop the prices and fill it up. Magnificent location and building. 11am check out far too early considering last breakfast is 10.30

Oh the shower and toilet facilities😐 Not once in my life I've seen a push shower in a BnB or a hotel private room.
It would stop as you wash yourself and it appears to be that you need to wait for some time for it to be able to work again

Unfortunately the weather wasn't good so we didn't explore as much as we would have liked to - as the area had a lot to offer. However, we will be returning. The hotel itself is gorgeous and well maintained. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. The facilities are wonderful.

Ballina is a friendly and very interesting town.
Ballina is a friendly and very interesting town. There are many places of interest with interest boards and murals explaining about people and places. The Jackie Clarke Collection is well worth a visit, and it is free. You can read about many people and events in the town and surrounding area then go visit them. It is clear the War of Independence and the Civil War had huge effects upon the town and surrounding area.

Ballina is a lovely town in a very scenic area. Beleek Woods are just out side the town and are ideal for walking or cycling. Lots of beaches within reach by car as well. Some nice pubs and restaurants in the town too.

Plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants in this picturesque town on the river Moy. We can see why Jack Charlton loved the place. We enjoyed watching the anglers waste deep in the river fishing for salmon. We had dinner in the hotel on both evenings and the food was great.

A lovely town, with lots to see and do in the area, nice places to eat, close to many other nice places to visit, so a good base for the area. Get out and enjoy the music and arts, and its ambition to be the most climate friendly town.

The hotel has everything going for it. The location in a beautiful part of the country, the services in the hotel, the great restaurant, and the wellness facilities make this a firm favourite when we travel to Mayo.
