A family meet up. 2 brothers ,2 sisters. Went bowling, a meal and a karaoke. The hotel was warm ,clean, very comfy, great value and central. I would definitely stay again. I liked the fact a code system was in place.

Situated in Bray, 90 metres from Bray Beach, The Strand Hotel, the former residence of Oscar Wilde features accommodation with a shared lounge, private parking, a terrace and a bar.

Old and dated but comfortable enough. A tad noisy as could hear other guests and staff talking.

We went for long walks along the promenade.

We went for long walks along the promenade. The town is also just a short walk away. There is a choice of restaurants, coffee/ tea shops and grocery stores. We loved the farm market on the Saturday, which was just a short drive away. The added bonus was to watch the start and finish of the "To hell and back" endurance race with 100's of participants.

Delightful seaside resort with very nice beaches. Several restaurants with ocean views. Lots of amenities. Just a short 30 min DART to Pearce Station in the heart of Dublin. A short drive to the Wicklow Mountains for a different experience. The drive to Dublin Airport was only 40 min during morning rush hour traffic.

The best thing about Bray is you have different places to eat, nice walks along the beach and around the harbour or if your adventures the climb up Bray head to the cross. The town its self has lots of shops which is only a 15-20 minute walk away.

I didn't realize or research enough how far out of Bray the Wilton was located. As a single senior without a vehicle I felt isolated and bored. However, the friendly and helpful staff were exceptional.

Bray is a bizarre mix of posh Dublin and 1970s faded northern english seaside victorian town. A bit Scarborough, a bit Norfolk. Lots of amenities, restaurants, bars etc Beach is large pebbles. Bray Head walk is wonderful (currently closed for rockfall risk, but everyone seems to ignore the barriers and carry on anyway) Great place to stay for visiting the area - Greystones is a slightly more upmarket version down the coast, Powerscourt 20 mins away, Glendalough 40 mins away.

Bray is a great place to enjoy a relaxed weekend on the beach. This small town is packed with great restaurants and family entertainment (the National Sealife Aquarium and Bray Bowl Arcade). We ate at The Dough Box, The Palm and Butler and Barry - all the food we had was superb!

40 Winks is a lovely hotel! Situated right in the heart of Bray and so close to all of the amenities including Bray Beach and lots of restaurants. It's filled with lots of cool and quirky antiquities on your way up to the rooms. We were very lucky to get the last room with a bathtub and it was so beautiful and great for sinking into a bubble bath. Ava was great and very helpful to us when checking-in and out too! Would definitely recommend.

Due to a hotel double booking I was forced you look further afield and Bray was a lucky find although distance was further than I intended to travel due to meeting friends in maynooth but all travel connections worked out so all ended well. Accommodation was good but slept three and bigger than my needs of a solo traveller hence the price increase.

We were visiting family in Bray so the location was perfect. Only issue was connecting to the WiFi but a member of staff went out of his way to help us.

The location of The Martello Hotel is brilliant. And I loved that all you need to go out is under one roof- bar, restaurant, night club.
