With Slieve League reachable in 2 km, The Rusty Mackerel provides accommodation, a restaurant, a garden, a terrace and a bar. Complimentary WiFi is featured throughout the property.

We loved the atmosphere and friendliness of all staff, the food was 10 star...After checking out the next morning we had to be at Teelin Pier for the Slieve League boat trip, when we arrived at the pier i remembered I left my phone in my room back at the Rusty Mackerel. I rang the Rusty and was assured that my phone was in hand. Not alone that they noticed that I only had 1% battery left and had it on the charge for me to collect later...Next time we are in the area I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Situated in Killybegs and only 2.1 km from Fintra Beach, Millfarm House features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking.

The coffee wasn't amazing however that doesn't matter when I think back to how gorgeous was that view from the bedroom! We sat staring out of our bedroom window for hours, it was simply sublime watching the evening head towards darkness across Donegal Bay. There's no need for TV when there's a view like that. The bed was very comfy and the ensuite was very spacious and well appointed. It was really peaceful at the house so we slept well and felt rested after our stay.

Situated in Kilcar in the Donegal County region, Carol's Cottage (Studio Apt) - Wild Atlantic Way features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. This apartment has a garden.

Carol and Seamus were super friendly, I have a great grandmother I am trying to find and they spent hours talking with me and telling us about life in Kilcar. I will be going back there this summer for sure, there was a massive storm when we were there, I would like to experience the area in nicer weather. The room and bed was cosy, it has everything you need. There was a big bottle of water, kettle, microwave, refrigerator, little snacks, milk, breakfast cereal and yogurt. We got lost on the way up and Carol offered to come and meet us, it was almost midnight. Just a lovely couple. Thanks for everything.

Located on the beautiful Donegal coastline, Áras Ghleann Cholm Cille is just a 10-minute drive from the highest sea cliffs in Europe.

Aras is a little gem in one of the most wild beautiful parts of Donegal. Leon and Gillian are wonderful hosts, nothing is too much trouble. Aras has everything you need at a more than reasonable price. Leon and Gillian actually made us feel very much at home. I will definitely be back.

Its a small town but it has a shop at the filling station selling grocereis etc. The location is good to get to the coast and the mountains. A car is useful but I did see quite a fe w locals buses, one of which stops right outside the pub. There is a chinese takeaway but its not great,

Carrick is a very rural area but absolutely beautiful in nature, probably the most gorgeous part of the world I’ve ever been to. Hiking around Carrick was such a good experience. In terms of food, I went to the local Chinese takeaway which was decent (can’t really expect that much from a takeaway tbf). I would recommend either having your own transport or being very prepared to walk.

Wonderful traditional music available on a few nights in the week. A traditional singing session in pub with turf fire was a highlight too. You can also source meals that are generous and tasty in local hostelries.
