A town not too far from Dublin airport and within easy distance to Co Tyrone ,Northern Ireland.The locals very very friendly and the local pubs were traditional , well at least the ones I went into. YES the Guinness does taste different to the British variety .Ireland in common with most places these days is not a cheap place ,indeed the price of property is on par with England as opposed to a few years when it was dirt cheap. The staff were exceptionally helpful, with advice (local taxi's who were very reliable & fair priced) Wilst preparing for an event a 'sticky' garment cleaner was required; again reception were able to help. I thought it was a busy bright town with v friendly people . More detailed tourist info would help & be more widely available eg the Harry Clark windows in St Joseph’s Church . Myself and my daughter had a very relaxing stay. We particularly enjoyed the spa treatment called ‘the pick n mix’. The lady who gave us Indian head massages and leg and foot massages was outstanding. The food in the restaurant was fabulous with beautiful views surrounding the dining area. The staff were so helpful and friendly. It is a very welcoming hotel. Our only minor disappointment was the big, hard pillows. I didn’t sleep very well.
