Please note that we will be renovating our ground floor with major enhancement works taking place from November 18th to March 31st, 2025.

The lobby is under renovations, and the staff did an exceptional job managing this and communicating with guests.

Featuring a shared lounge, terrace, bar and free WiFi, The Woodfield Hotel is located in Clifden, 3.2 miles from Alcock & Brown Memorial and 12 miles from Kylemore Abbey.

Friendly owner and staff, very good breakfast, comfortable bar/restaurant with varied menu and pretty sea views; located on major business street with shops, pubs, and restaurants within easy walking distance; parking available on the street in front of the hotel for reasonable rate; located for lots of good day trips; small-town feeling with people who seem to know everyone else and are also friendly to tourists with whom they may strike up a conversation. I would definitely go back.

Sharamore House B&B is just 5 minutes’ drive from Clifden restaurants and bars, and 10 minutes from Connemara National Park, Omey Island, and Kylemore Abbey, where guests enjoy discounted entry...

Unusual in our experience to have fish for breakfast so it was a nice change from sausage, bacon.

Very small location, but very picturesque.

Very small location, but very picturesque. Ideally located to explore the surrounding area, including Clifden and Connemara National Park. Due to size of location only a small amount of local amenities but still very good quality.

The beauty and wilderness of Connemara is unsurpassed in all of our travels. Really allowed us to discover what Connaught had to offer. Was not lacking in any way, from coast to lowland and to mountains. Will never be forgotten!!

    Lovely town by the sea.

Lovely town by the sea. Beaches nearby and ferry options to Inishbofin. A few pubs to choose from and Oliver's a nice restaurant with seafood and other options. Food was lovely and staff were great. There is also a grocery shop beside it. Close to other attractions like Kylemore Abbey and Killary Fjord. Beautiful landscapes all around.

Cleggan is a nice fishing village but there is not a lot to do there, due to Covid I think one of the bars is not open and another is only open during the day we traveled into Clifden for better choice of restaurants

Greg was a fantastic host and gave us a good briefing on how everything worked. He was very helpful with.local information and advice. The cottages had everything..very well equipped including a fab log burning stove. We were very comfortable and would highly recommend a visit to the cottages.

Liam and Tina were the perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable, giving us hints and tips on what to do and see. The property itself was well appointed and comfortable and in a beautiful location with easy access to Cleggan and Clifden. Highly recommended. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😎 Thank you...
