McCarthy's B&B offers accommodations in Clonmel, 20 miles from Rock of Cashel and 30 miles from Christ Church Cathedral.

this was a very classic intimate bed-and-breakfast, with a lovely interior and a fascinating dining room full of all kinds of interesting artifacts from family members who've traveled over five generations while running this hotel. The room was small and cozy with traditional antique furniture and I love places like this so for me it was perfect as a solo traveler. I much prefer small family places, and there was a parking lot which was great, so I didn't have to park on the street. The breakfast the next morning was spectacular and the people so personable and friendly.

Location was beautiful, really got the feel for being on a farm. The Gurteen castle next door was nice to see and the live animals made it a special experience.

Featuring garden views, Nire Valley Cottage provides accommodations with a patio and an electric tea pot, around 6.8 miles from Main Guard.

The cottage is luxurious ,in pristine condition and equipped to a very high standard. The breakfast was excellent with a choice offered by the hosts in advance. The hosts were really helpful, pleasant and kind. They clearly went the extra mile to ensure that I enjoyed my stay. The cottage is located in a very peaceful area on high ground, where the air seemed to be particularly fresh.

Visiting Clonmel and seeing relatives for the first time in over 50 years. It was easy to get to a lot of places, The only down side was the recycling bin, which had not been emptied for some time and we had trouble putting our rubbish out.

There wasn't a great deal to see and do apart from exploring the old streets, town wall etc, and it's a typical old Irish town in many ways. Like most old Irish towns it doesn't make great use of the outdoor spaces despite having a big river in the middle, for example more riverside parks would be great, mostly it was car parks and a quay. Also the pubs were just the usual style, with not much of the way of outdoor areas for a warm day, and no options for anything different like craft beers.

It seemed to us that there were a lot of vacancies in stores down town. Unfortunately we were only able to spend a day in town and it was Sunday so many of the stores were closed. I would like to come back and spend more time there

I stayed at Befani's Mediterranean guest house which exceeded all my expectations. The purpose of my visit was to visit friends. I loved the coffee shops and restaurants. Gave myself lots of time to view places of historical interest. I took a beautiful stroll by the river Suir. I visited the shops and viewed the excellent merchandise where I picked up a few items. I loved the piazza shop under the West Gate who served delicious piazzas and hosted by a very friendly Polish man. I am looking forward to my next trip to Clonmel

Firstly Clonmel was not in my opinion a tourist town. If you need to visit for work, meeting family or just to see a traditional Irish town you will be pleased with the friendliness of the people, the quality of the dining options and the transport network. We went to see where my father was born and were able to retrace his footsteps which was great.. As mentioned the dining options were good and I can single out Sean tierney's bar for a warm welcome, great food and traditional atmosphere.

It's a lively friendly place, well placed for travel to many areas in the South and Southwest of Ireland. There is the campus of Technological University of the Shannon in the town, a wonderful facility.

Great central location in the centre of Clonmel. We were warmly greeted on arrival. Our room was large, with a spacious bathroom, and very comfy bed. Everything was clean, tidy and well maintained. Air conditioning allowed us to easily control the temperature in the room.

Nice location in Clonmel, quiet hotel for a week-end, good size but not too big . Our room had a balcony with view on the river. Friendly staff with good facilities and nice leisure centre. Good food in the restaurant.
