Bed/pillows were very comfy. Dinner and breakfast were wonderful. Loved walking the grounds. We did a HawkWalk and shot clay pigeons--both very fun. Instructors were very informative

The property is set right next to the river which has a lovely view, our bedroom was very modern and lovely, there are pubs and restaurants nearby to choose from and it’s all a short walk away. And the breakfast was delicious!

Beautiful village and even during off peak season the scenery and entertainment was top notch. Fans of The Quiet Man need this little village on their to-do list. We visit every year at least once, sometimes 2 or 3 times with different friends

A beautiful , well-kept little village with so much to explore on foot. The Abbey is free to visit and there are several river and woodland walks leading from it. Lots of wildlife to be seen, herons, ducks and even a leaping salmon!
Lydons was a great place to stay and to eat in. We only stayed one night but will definitely go back to explore some more.

Beautiful village.
Beautiful village. Probably one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I have ever been. Lots to do and a good location for several excursions.
The restaurants in the village were all good. The service and the food were exceptional.
The boat trip on the Loch was amazing.
If I were Irish, I would move to Cong. I have never felt so relaxed and at peace.
If you are a Quiet Man movie fan, this is the place for you. It was an added bonus for me.

This is a very charming town.
This is a very charming town. There is a lovely little river that streams through the town and there are great little trails that are fun to walk through. There are lots of cute shops and I bought some books about Irish history while there.
Of course, Cong is famous for being the film site for "The Quiet Man" which brings in lots of people . This can make parking difficult, but the town is too nice to not stop and see.

Very well maintained and clean and very easy to get around. Food in the Crowes Nest was fantastic and the staff were really friendly. All the people of Cong were very polite and accommodating.

We were on a flying visit, but I know the village as I grew up nearby. Unless the weather is appalling, it us a great place to go. Lovely quaint village with lots of walks, caves, boat trips & eateries. Ideal for families and couples & those with wee dogs.

The property was in an ideal location for us - in walking distance to the village of Cong and close to The Lodge at Ashford Castle where we were attending a wedding. From booking to questions and queries the owners were a pleasure to deal with. The accommodation is very accessible as all ground floor, it was very clean and plenty of crockery and cutlery etc. We enjoyed our stay
We came for a nearby wedding at Ashford Lodge. The value for money at this location is fantastic and very close to Cong town and Ashford Castle. The facilities for camping seemed great although we didnt use any. Parking on site and secure. Quite at nighttime.
Excellent location for attending a wedding in the lodge nearby. Walking distance to the village of Cong which is beautiful. Very friendly and helpful host. Would definitely recommend
