Residence Inn by Marriott Cork features a fitness centre, shared lounge, a restaurant and bar in Cork. This 4-star hotel offers luggage storage space and free WiFi.

We were given an accessible room, which we didn't neccessarily need, but it was actually better for showering. The room was a good size with good air conditioning and a very comfortable bed. All the staff were very friendly and attentive, but especially Gisele and Svenia. The hotel was also in an excellent location, only 5 mins walk to the centre (or 10 if you add on waiting for green lights to cross the roads!)

Leonardo Hotel Cork - Formerly Jurys Inn, is located on Anderson’s Quay overlooking the River Lee.

A cosy hotel with great beds. Decent value for money. Unfortunately there were building works going on at the time, so a bit noisy/unsightly outside the window but that's not the hotel's fault. On the other hand, I'd prefer not to have £50 taken from my card to cover damages etc. I know this is the policy in many hotels now but it's not great customer service and shows a complete lack of trust. It's super inconvenient too when you are travelling on a budget. We've no intentions of rock star behaviour and room trashing! Other than that, I'd recommend for a comfortable stay.

FAQs about hotels in Cork

Irish Spirit In A Nutshell

Situated on the banks of the River Lee, Cork’s city centre was originally built on marshes and many of its popular streets are constructed on the former river channels. With a thriving nightlife and a vibrant cultural scene, the Irish Republic’s second biggest city is full of surprises.

Those interested in history should pay a visit to the Cork City Gaol, an old prison transformed into one of the city’s most fascinating attractions, or join the Cork Historic Walking Tours, which offer a great opportunity to learn all the city’s secrets.

For those craving more lively entertainment, the city offers the famous Cork City Pub Crawl or even more exciting, the Barrack Street Challenge, where participants drink pints of beer in all bars along Barrack Street.

The shopping area is concentrated around the most famous street - St. Patrick Street. For local food specialities like crubeens, tripe and drisheen, browse bars and restaurants around MacCurtain, Washington and Oliver Plunkett Streets.

When flying to Cork Airport, you’re just a short taxi or bus ride from the lively city centre. Don’t worry about accommodation; Booking.com has plenty on offer, from convenient hotels, to cosy guest houses and bed & breakfasts.

I loved Cork. Smaller, safer, and less busy than Dublin. Public transport is easy including long haul buses and trains. Blarney Castle just a quick 20 min bus ride. Easy to visit Cobh, Kinsale, and other wonderful locations.

Love walking around this city, everything is so easy to reach on foot. We always stroll through the famous English Market, this is such a fascinating indoor market full of interesting shops, stalls and hidden gems. The Farmgate Cafe in the English Market is a great place for lunch. Cork has so much to offer visitors, we went to St. Anne's Church, famous for its Shandon Bells Tower. Other places of interest include Fitzgeralds Park, St. Fin Barres Cathedral, Elizabeth Fort, Nano Nagle Museum as well as the main shopping areas around Patricks St., and Oliver Plunkett St..

I live about an hour away from Cork and am a regular visitor, I always find it an intriguing city with lots of attractive buildings and friendly people. It would be a good base for visitors who wish to explore South West Ireland.. There are many and varied restaurants for one to eplore to their taste. Coach tours to other areas such as Blarney with its castle and famous stone. Kinsale harbour, Flotta Island with its zoo and many more towns villages to explore. The Cork Jazz festival is a must for music lovers with multinational jazz musicians and bands entertaining you nightly.
