Lovely hotel in a beautiful quiet location, but walkable to the town center. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the young man that showed us to our room. We would definitely choose to stay here again. We had dinner with family in the town center and it was a perfect stroll back to the hotel. The breakfast the next morning was very nice too.
This luxury hotel has a magical location in the middle of the Bluestack Mountains, on the edge of Lough Eske. It is 3.5 miles from Donegal town and has gourmet food and a romantic atmosphere.

The room was a joy, super comfortable bed. Breakfast was delightful, as much choice as you could want. We really enjoyed the fine dining experience and Geraldine was super helpful and brought the experience to another level.
Set within 43 acres of forest at the foot of the mountains, this stunning castle features huge rooms with 32-inch flat-screen TVs. The 5-star hotel offers a luxurious spa within its beautiful gardens....

We loved everything; the spacious room and bathroom, the most friendly staff, the carriage ride through the grounds, the best Old Fashion served in Ireland, and more.

We were visiting at a time storm Bert had arrived and we did not go outside the grounds, also we were there for only two nights. We have visited Donegal many many times before and love the county so our visit was more to relax and enjoy the hotel and environs.

Donegal is a wonderful town in Ireland, full of kind people of lot of calming nature. A good place to go for long walks or to be connected to other northern areas of the country. Easy to reach by public transport and with a great tourist info office to help solve any doubt you might have about the region.

The tourism people certainly know how to make the most of each area. A visit to the Castle, the riverside walk and the Abbey are all worth doing.
The shops in Donegal town are definitely geared for the foreign tourists but still worth a visit

The town is a real gem - small, attractive and with a lovely feel to it. Everything is within walking distance which is a great bonus. Parking is pay and display everywhere around the town but cheap and free between 6pm and 9am, so not a real issue. It has a blend of unique shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. The castle is beautiful and an interesting place to visit. There's also a town walking trail along the bank of the river. Plenty to see and do for a day or so.

Donegal was a very serene environment for us, we totally enjoyed being there. Away from the hustling of city life. We walked everywhere to pick up groceries and even to the Donegal castle just a few blocks away from our accommodation
We had a cruise on the Donegal bay boat, and we also visited Fanad head lighthouse. Totally fabulous experiences. The kids loved these

Comfortable big rooms and plenty of room for family of four with a baby.. We used the pool, steam room, jacuzzi and gym and they were excellent. Breakfast had plenty of choice and food was hot and fresh. We also had dinner one of the nights in chapter twenty and food was lovely. Staff were also very friendly in all areas of the hotel from front desk, cleaners, leisure centre, restaurant staff and breakfast staff. 10 min walk to donegal town ... Could not fault the hotel at all....
Wonderful warm welcome from all the staff. The hotel is in the perfect location in the heart of Donegal town with everything only a short walk away. Good variety of shops and no end of lovely restaurants and great pubs. I'll be back...
