Only problem we had was on carvery day ,when we returned from shopping decided we have a drink , got drink from bar and decided to sit in bar where carvery was taking place as lobby was over crowded with people sitting on hotel desk chairs etc etc ,as we were about to sit down we were approached by member of staff saying you can't sit there, I pointed out to her we were hotel guests, so she pointed to a stool in corner to sit which was very high as my husband had a hip replacement wasn't really suitable , was very annoyed that it didn't have a designated sitting area for guest certainly needs to be looked at .

In 12 acres of lush, green gardens The Boyne Valley is an elegant 19th-century mansion on the M1 road to Dublin and less than 30 minutes’ drive from Dublin Airport.
Spoon and the Stars Hostel is located in the walled town of Drogheda, and offers the perfect base from which to explore the historic Boyne valley.

It was not quite what I expected. A mixture of short stay guests like myself and long-term residents. Location good and bed was comfortable but some bedclothes were very creased with permanent staining. Area outside the bedroom door was poorly lit. Staff were quite friendly. I was a solo female guest, so I didn't want to draw attention to myself and made no comment. Kitchenette was poorly stocked with cutlery, etc.
Boasting garden views, Buvinda offers accommodation with patio, around 5.4 km from Dowth. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. The homestay has family rooms.

Drogheda is a beautiful town with lots of history and places of interest, great choice of cafes and restaraunts as well as bars, St Peters Church on west Street is the most beautiful church I have ever been in and well worth a visit it also holds the shrine of St Oliver Plunket .The outstanding thing about Drogheda is the local people who are so warm and friendly.

Drogheda is much bigger than I expected.
Drogheda is much bigger than I expected. It’s very spread out and was quite congested with traffic when I was there so maybe a little difficult for driving if unfamiliar with the area. It is a very old town with lots of history and old buildings and has short distances to nearby beauty spots. Would need to spend a few days there to appreciate its character.

Drogheda is a quaint town with a network of busy narrow streets. It is steep in history from the Norsemen era to modern day events. Drogheda is the gateway to the world famous Boyne Valley region and the UNESCO World Heritage Site at Newgrange. Drogheda is also know for it's long history in the art of distilling.

Excellent service. Lovely friendly staff. Great food. Lovely clean comfortable room. The room was freshly decorated to a lovely modern decor. The hotel is in a great location, close to drogheda town and to the beaches.
How close to shops pubs and eateries. We moved closer to Dublin to catch an early ferry impressed with the location of hotel and would like to stay again in the future.
