Nice hotel in a very nice location but the bedroom was quite small with just one bedside locker.
The hotel had nice facilities as in a swimming pool and a gym but I had no chance to use them.
Located in Dungloe, 17 km from Gweedore Golf Club, Sweeney's Hotel 2020 Limited provides accommodation with a fitness centre, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace.

We were very much looking forward to our stay at Sweeneys but overall found it to be very soulless, clinical and extremely quiet. A cold decor throughout and no pictures or history of Dungloe or the hotel itself as far as we could see.
The bathroom had no extractor fan nor a window which in turn led to a damp smell if left closed. I used the iron once and it spat out rusty water over the item I was ironing, just as well it wasn't an expensive dress for a function.
There was no information about the history of the hotel in the room nor were there contact numbers, menus, essential information like Wi-Fi code etc.
A bright green light on the ceiling shone all night so the room was quite bright albeit in a green hue and it was difficult to sleep even in the very comfortable bed.
Our room looked over the courtyard and because there were only blackout blinds on the windows and not curtains it proved quite awkward as occasionally there were people sitting down there.
We got our stay for a good price.
The breakfast, although very nicely presented was mediocre and gave you the feeling some items had been left lying about for a while, especially the scones.
The welcome chocolates in the room were a nice touch.
I realise this is a newly refurbished hotel and while it has been finished well, there should be more attention paid to finer details and it seemed number of things hadn't been thought through fully.
We would not return.

Everything about our stay was excellent especially the staff and the food. We were well looked after by Christopher at breakfast and the quality of the food at breakfast and the evening meal the night before were fantastic

What was there not to like is more the question. Sophia and Donald have an exquisitely beautiful home that just reeks welcome home the moment you step through the front door. The furnishings and decor are just stunning, and the comfort and size of the rooms and ensuit was more than I ever expected. Sophia was the most amazing host. She is kind, sweet, helpful, and just a beautiful lady to boot. I can not recommend this place highly enough it has topped the scale at being my favourite place so far on my 7th day of 16 in Ireland. Love what you are doing at Bridgeburn House Sophia and Donald it is a true credit to you both, I rate my experience 10/10 hands down.

A small Donegal town on Wild Atlantic way. Not much around.
A small Donegal town on Wild Atlantic way. Not much around. In Gaeltacht region but everyone English speakers too. Beautiful walks around the Poisoned Glenn. At the foot of Mount Errigal so plenty of hikes available too for all abilities.

Fantastic location, easy to find and great base for exploring gweedore. Noreen the host lives on site and was very friendly and helpful. Accommodation was spacious enough for our family. Was great having our own kitchen and this had all the utensils etc needed. Fantastic that it was dog friendly also.
Absolutely lovely few days in Gaoth Dobhair - great hotel, spectacular room and a first class staff! I didn't try the breakfast but Fara Óg's (hotel bar and restaurant) is a great spot for a bite to eat and a drink: I also really enjoyed my visit to the hotel's health centre!
Primrose cottage was a perfect base for exploring the gorgeous surroundings in Gweedore. Noreen was so welcoming and we loved our time there. Hopefully we’ll be back again soon!
