Two great bars Molloys and Nevilles Bar, good drinks, great hospitality. The Giorgio's evening meal for a party of 9 was amazing value for money. the Thai restaurant was great food, fantastic service, excellent value for money. There is a Londis, a pharmacist, the people are relly welcoming and friendly. Fethard o Sea is a good base to explore the Hook Peninsula, Kilmore Quay *eat at Mary Barry's Fish restaurant, (you will not be disappointed, essential to book), Tramore for the summer races festival, the ferry across the estuary from Passageway East is good. A car is essential to get around. There is no light pollution at night you can see the stars in the night sky on a clear night. If you're after a week away for somewhere a little remote, but are prepared to travel upto an hour, Wexford, Tramore, Duncannon are well within reach. The roads are quiet. Eating out, hospitality and value for money are in abundance.

For lovers of surfing and swimming it is a perfect spot. Great place to stay overnight after visiting Hook Head. There is a lovely Greek restaurant in the town and nice pubs. Not much in the town so I think you would get bored if you were here for a long stay.

Quiet seaside village in south east Ireland which has been unspoilt by tourism. We found the local people welcoming and helpful particularly as the main purpose if our trip was to discover more about our Irish ancestors. The tourist attractions gave us lots of information and tours were well presented. It was also a pleasure and novelty to drive on roads that were completely free of potholes.

There were many things our family liked about Hookless Homes, but they are overshadowed by the things we didn't like. We didn't like the list of "required" things one had to do when one left ... there were posted lists of every item in the house from tiniest spoon to the sofa and the amount it would cost you if it was missing when you left. The thing was that that list didn't match the inventory ... like 6 spoons suppose to be in drawer but when we looked there was only 5 spoons ... plus we had to strip the beds and empty the trash in to bins "somewhere in the complex" behind a house number we could not find (no map) supposedly someone cleaned the house before we arrived but the wall light in one of the bedrooms was hanging loose and no one did any thing about it before we arrived ...
