The hotel is ideally located between the buzz of Galway city and the relaxed seaside resort of Salthill.

Management handled a situation in the bar with a drunken man very poorly. Have stayed here numerous times and won’t return wasn’t an enjoyable stay this time.

Located in its own private grounds, this 4-star hotel offers spacious, elegant rooms. It is only 20 minutes’ walk from Galway’s centre and 5 minutes' walk from the nearest shopping centre.

The staff is very sweet. They have completed all our requests for the room to grant me the most comfortable stay ever. Though we arrived earlier than the check-in time, they were very sweet to treat me to a free coffee. The reception area is very cozy with opportunities to rest and entertain yourself with a magazine or paper. The room was fantastic, all was up to our requests and wishes.

FAQs about hotels in Galway

Cracking City of Craic

Welcoming Galway is a small city with fantastic nightlife and an infectious atmosphere. Outside of the Galway Arts Festival, there’s still plenty of live music in the Irish pubs to get the party started.

The Galway Races at Ballybrit Race Course west of Galway Airport attract a good crowd, as does Eyre Square, a green space with flags of previous ruling families who gave it its nickname - City of Tribes. To the south are cobbled streets housing brightly coloured shops and restaurants.

Sights in Galway include its cathedral and city museum which offers an interesting insight into the history of the city and Ireland. Lynch’s Castle is the last remaining 17th-century merchant house, and the Spanish Arch is a small section of city walls by the Corrib River, linking Galway Bay to huge Loch Corrib. Where river and ocean meet is Claddagh Park, a great spot for a picnic with a view.

Further around the coast is Salthill Promenade, home to Atlantaquaria, Ireland’s national aquarium, focussing on sealife off Irish shores. It’s a Christmas Day tradition to jump from Blackrock Diving Tower nearby into the icy Atlantic Ocean, though you may well spot some wag giving it a go.

Booking.com has an excellent range of Galway hotels, apartments and B&Bs to complete your stay.

We went a few days before St.

We went a few days before St. Patrick's day and stayed to following weekend, plenty to do, enjoyed the Cliffs of Moher and Salthill, no problem getting around mainly flat, busses easy to hop on for trips. As you can imagine plenty of bars serving good food but your welcome in all the hotel restaurants

Hooked resturant food was very good seafood.

Hooked resturant food was very good seafood. Seafood Chowder, w fresh homemade brown bread was amazing. Small place opens at 5pm and fills up fast. No parking. Drove to Klyemare Abbey. Was very nice trip. Go hike around grounds (shuttle if you need it to gardens). Gardens are a work in progress (restorations started in 2000). Parking downdown is impossible. I would take Uber .

Galway city is very atmospheric so if you're tossing up whether to visit I would say you wouldn't be disappointed if you did. Lots to see in surrounding areas too. Mind you, there's lots to see wherever you go and whatever you see in Ireland!!

Lively Irish city with a large amount of pubs and restaurants. Trad music is played in many pubs. The harbor is lovely on a sunny day to walk around. The Aran Islands are close by and can be toured by bike in one day and then one can still return to Galway in the evening.

Very friendlly, easy-going and accommodating hosts! We loved the location in Salthill, west of the city center, since more quiet, neverthelless easily to be reached by bus (15 minutes drive, stops in front of the hotel) or by walking (very nice 30 min walk on the promenade along the seaside).
