King Sitric is perfectly located by the water in Howth! We loved our stay in March. We only wish we could have stayed longer. The breakfast was amazing & the service was excellent! Thank you!

This was such a lovely spot just off the main thoroughfare of Howth.

Driving up, castle vibe. Our travel companions did not have the same room as we did. Quaint room, not expecting a huge room. Our most pricey stay on our trip and it was more of a hotel vibe. The property size is just the hotel, the maps suggest otherwise, and they're false.

The hotel staff were all very friendly and attentive. The hotel was on a golf course on the beach. Beautiful scenery with a short walk to the waterfront. We would without a doubt, stay here next time!
White Sands is a deluxe, family-run hotel in the picturesque coastal village of Portmarnock in County Dublin. It offers a lively Irish pub and free Wi-Fi for all guests.

Spacious bathroom. Very clean. Met our needs for a nice stay prior to early flight out
I loved this little coastal town! Walk out to the lighthouse and walk the cliff walk. Have tea at the Dog House! Check out Abby Tavern...I ate there twice and stayed late for the local Irish music. It's a walkable town with shops and restaurants. But also nice to just sit and take it all in!

Howth is the place to stay when visiting Dublin.
Howth is the place to stay when visiting Dublin. Just 30 minutes by train away from he city centre, it is a small but beautiful town on a penninsula surrounded with cliffs and seagull collonies. Many great pubs and restuarants, fantastic views and, contrary to Dublin - the calm and peaceful atmosphere where you can really relax.

I did not know what to expect as we booked last minute to go to a concert in Malahide. Howth is a beautiful seaside town with lots on offer (restaurants, bars, cafes etc...) We hope to return in the near future to spend more time there. Great for couples & families. A bit hilly in places so you need to have good mobility if you want to explore or stay slightly out of town. I visited a beautiful cove in the morning time where there were lots of swimmers in the sea & it was so peaceful...great way to start the day.

Location: This was the first time we were setting foot on...
Location: This was the first time we were setting foot on Irish soil. King Sitric in Howth was the first place we headed to from Dublin Airport. No regrets! So much to see and do in Howth. Charming views in every direction. So much to take in.
Transport: A short taxi ride or walk to the train station. Buses stop less than 100m from the hotel. I think one even passes right in front of the hotel.
People: The Irish are the best. Everywhere, they seem to be so welcoming and genuine.
Hotel and Rooms: Interesting history. It should be promoted more. Pleasant and friendly staff. Our room was steps from the ocean. What a lovely welcome to a lovely country. The room had nice little touches. Loved the in-room Nespresso & chocs. Nice hot showers.
Food: Amazingly fresh seafood in the restaurant downstairs for dinner (apparently caught by local fisherman in the sea right outside our room) and upstairs for guests' breakfasts; the menu items were well-chosen. Fish is also an option for breakfast! Found it strange though that so little bread is given, as there's so much rich and flavourful sauce to lap up. We even paid for more bread, but again it was just one tiny slice of bread. Maybe it's an Irish thing?
Pricing: We found Ireland in general to be very expensive, from hotels to food to shopping.

Nice city few minutes away from Dublin's airport.
Nice city few minutes away from Dublin's airport. Some hidden beaches. Some good pubs to have a drink or eat like O'Connells. Great views of the sea.
The road can be steep, I recommend having a vehicule. Various accommodations like Glenn na Smol (B&B).

Cliff walk, buzz of day trippers, cafes and restaurants.
Cliff walk, buzz of day trippers, cafes and restaurants. Everything well maintained. Initially had trouble getting a pre dinner drink as most bars.taverns are booking their tables for diners. We were put out in the cold in O'Connells! Finally hit on The Harbour Bar which was lovely.

Room was comfortable and very clean. Check in process was quick and without issue. We had an Ocean view from our room on the main floor, but rooms on the 2nd floor would have a much better view of the Ocean. That being said, you can simply walk outside of the hotel and the Ocean is literally right in front of you! Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Home made bread, yogurt, option to have a full Irish breakfast as well (don't skip this option).
The location in Howth was very good and it was an easy walk to get to the seafront and harbour.
Price was good when compared with other properties in Howth.
Great to have two bathrooms!
Breakfast/brunch in the downstairs restaurant was excellent and definitely to be recommended!
The host Karl always got back to us when asked any questions
But of a tardis, looked small from outside but tons of space. Properly comfortable and stylishly decorated. Perfect location for us, right near the harbour with all its bars and restaurants, short walk to the DART for access to Dublin centre.
