Neidin is the Irish word for Kenmare and translates to Little Nest. A Little Nest is exactly what was envisaged in 1790 when The Lansdowne first opened its door.

The location is stunning. The art around the whole hotel is amazingly beautiful, the mural at the main reception made us smile upon arrival. The staff are very accommodating and nice. The spa was also the nicest we have seen in Ireland so far, we had deep tissue massage there and really enjoyed sauna afterwards.
In the centre of Kenmare, Coachman's Townhouse offers spacious and modern rooms, a restaurant serving wholesome food, and a bar. It is about 20 miles from Killarney and also offers free street...

Very relaxed atmosphere. It had the atmosphere of "just enough' without the opulence which, is unnecessary. Spar was great. Food excellent.
Staff were down to earth and friendly which is all you want.

Margret is a lovely person. She gave us a lot of information for example about the ring of kerry. The breakfast with homemade bread, cake and milk from their own cows was spectacular. It is a 5 minute walk to the center of Kenmare, where you can find many nice restaurants. Kenmare is a gold starting point to explore the south/west of Ireland.
The Happy Pig, a property with a shared lounge, is set in Kenmare, 30 km from INEC, 31 km from Carrantuohill Mountain, as well as 33 km from St Mary's Cathedral.

We loved Kenmare, it was such a cute little town with a lot to offer, fun shopping and good eats. Very walkable. It’s a great place for access to Killarney NP and we wish we could have explored more there. Now that we know of Kenmare we will definitely be spending more time here on our next visit.

Kenmare is a beautiful friendly clean town, it's people are so friendly and helpful nothing is too much trouble, would also highly recommend Kenmare Taxis owned by a lovely genuine man named Niall he brought us anywhere we wanted to go at a very reasonable price, he was like our own personal tour guide telling us everything about Kenmare and places we should visit, he really went over and above with us he was so friendly and helpful couldn't recommend his service highly enough, we stayed at Kenmare Eco Lodge a little jewel in the crown of the beautiful kingdom of Kerry, Anne the lady that owns this beautiful Eco friendly lodge was a diamond she was so kind and helpful to us and made our stay such a pleasurable one, the Eco Lodge is so peaceful and I would highly recommend it to others, it was clean, friendly, comfortable a very affordable, 5 stars all round

Great little town. So many excellent restaurants and shops.
Great little town. So many excellent restaurants and shops. Kenmare
lies between the Kerry Ring and the Beara Ring and is not too far from Killarney so lots to experience.
One of our favourite restaurants was the Boathouse Bistro beautiful setting and great food.
On the way to Killarney stop at Mollys Gap to take a photo and make sure to visit the Avoca shop - the gift section is beautiful and the pastries are top.
Grab a coffee before you head off for the day at Bean & Batch - you will not regret it.

This was by far my favorite stay in Ireland! My husband and I regretted that we only stayed one night. The room was modern, spacious and comfortable! The shower was the best we had on our trip. It was walking distance to all the stores and restaurants. Kenmare is a lovely town and I highly recommend it on a road trip in Ireland. I accidentally left some clothes and the owner was nice to ship it to me at my next hotel!
Breakfast was exceptional, as good as any 5-star hotel I have ever stayed in. The location is absolutely perfect for exploring Kenmare town. The rooms are mostly on a side street and so are very quiet.
Perfect location with stunning views of Kenmare Bay and a short walk to town. Lovely old country house with fascinating history. Friendly proprietor greeted us on arrival. Good breakfast.
