We had a wonderful stay. We were greeted so warmly on arriving and the lovely lady couldn't have done enough for us...she invited us to help ourselves to tea and biscuits and was so nice to our children. It's a top class b and b, beautiful house, lovely and spacious and modern and clean..couldn't fault one thing .breakfast was so good ..people were so kind and warm...super stay ..would look forward to going back

Liked the location and lake views - especially from the breakfast room.
The bar food is excellent and the service outstanding. The room we stayed in was very clean and well equipped with nice lighting and bottled water supplied. A coffee machine was a lovely touch also. Great size tv with lots of channels.

The location was perfect for us, close enough to the city centre while also being located in a very quiet neighborhood. No passing traffic noises, room was nice and spacious. Both breakfast and dinner were beautiful. Nice generous portions for dinner for adults and kids alike. The shower in the room was lovely and powerful, great water pressure. This was our second visit, we’ll definitely be back again.

Parking was very easy, plenty of space. Staff were all lovely and helpful, especially the lovely lady on the reception desk on check-in. The room was a generous size, and had everything we needed. There was also a gorgeous set up of champagne and chocolates in our room for our anniversary; a lovely touch and much appreciated. Beautiful pieces of decor and pictures along the hallways. The ruins are located a stone’s throw from the hotel, and a beautiful little walk around for anyone interested.

The breakfast was excellent. Cooked to order, so everything was fresh, hot and very tasty. Staff were excellent. Padraig was so welcoming and gave great recommendations. Really can't fault anything about our stay. We'll be back.
This 4-star hotel has a Championship golf course and is 5 miles from Athlone. All newly reformed rooms at the Glasson Lakehouse have free Wi-Fi, TVs and a room service menu.

Really nice family room, gym and outdoor pool.
Breakfast and dinner were excellent. Nice perks dotted about hotel, for example board games in lobby, playground and coffee machine and record player in room.
