Comfortable, clean, nice bar. The food was very good and the staff were great
The picturesque town of Carrick-on-Shannon is home to the Aisleigh Guest House. The River Shannon is just a 10-minute walk and bedrooms have en suite shower rooms and TVs.

The host is a lovely lady and even dropped me into the town that afternoon when I enquired about taxi.
Many thanks.

We were there for St Patrick's Day. Enjoyed the parade and loved that the whole community got involved. Nice bars snd restaurants. And plenty of things to see and do in tbe surrounding areas, especially the Arigna coal mines.

Leitrim is a very small city and we only stayed for one night. It was very difficult to find a place to eat :( I'm a vegetarian and one place was still serving food, but they didn't have anything I could eat. The other place had already closed the kitchen on a Sunday at 7.30 PM and there were only drunk men hanging around in those places... We had to get takeaway pizza in the end but that wasn't very good either, unfortunately. I don't think there is much you can do there during the day but it's surely easy to get around.

Beautiful walks and cycle track along the canal. Lovely villages and towns.
Nice restaurants especially The Jacaklope in The Shed Distillery Drumshanbo. Great activities available on Lough Allen.
Not far from Stairway to Heaven walk.
