We arrived early as we had to attend a funeral and the hostess was kind enough to let us drop our bags and return later to check in. When we returned our bags were already in our room and room was ready for us. The room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was excellent with lots of local produce.

Hotel and staff were excellent! We got dinner in the bar and the food and service were exceptional. We then went to the thermal suites and they were 10/10 - will definitely be back again.

Very clean, lovely engaging staff, parking excellent, food 😋💯👌
Didn’t get to experience leisure centre 😢
Too little time
Mountmellick is a quiet town. It offers some sites and history (founded by Quakers), but more importantly if you are staying there, the area is well sited for day excursions to other sites. It is a quiet, mostly farming community.

Mountmellick is a traditional Irish rural town, which retains all its original buildings, but with new housing and good shopping facilities visit the Mountmellick embroidery museum, with a good restaurant called the hares corner. This is situated to the north of the town.also close by are the slieve bloom mountains.

Great base for visiting historical sites and walking; also close enough to Dublin and even closer to Kildare and its renowned shopping village if that's your thing. Some excellent restaurants close by.

Anna is a lovely and friendly host. The house is set in a beautiful rural area with only a 5 minute drive to Mountmellick. The room was very comfortable and clean with everything needed. Private bathroom for my room down the hall was clean and spacious. May have ensuite as well. The Breakfast in the morning was fresh, plentiful and delicious. Really set up for the day. Will be back.
If you are looking for a regular hotel stay, then this is not for you! But if you are looking to step back in time and experience one of Ireland's beautiful country houses, then this is it. Steeped in history since 1766 with many of the original features this was a joy to stay in. James was great company too. I look forward to staying again.
I was visiting friends in Mountmellick and the location was ideal for all amenities, shops, bars etc.
it was immaculately clean and well maintained and would recommend to anyone visiting the area.
It would be ideal for walkers contemplating a visit to the Slieve Bloom mountains, as it is only a short journey away.
Clean, tidy, and spacious, and in a great locations. It's great to have somewhere to stay in Mountmellick, my Da was from there and struggled for years to find somewhere decent to stay. Will definitely stay again.
Host was very welcoming and friendly. Room and ensuite were a good size. There was a breakfast menu that would rival or even surpass many a hotel and it was delicious. We would definitely return.
